The Golden Girls: Season 6

I've already reviewed seasons 1,2,3,4 and five so give them a look. Here are just two of my favorite season 6 episodes. First is "Mrs. George Devereaux" . This one is difficult to review simply because by doing so I could easily divulge the surprise ending, which I do NOT want to do. Consider this your SPOILER ALERT...SPOILER ALERT... SPOILER ALERT... In this episode are a few stories that tie into the main story, in a very odd way. The main story is that Blanches deceased husband appears back in Blanches life. He says he faked his own death. Another story is that Dorothy is being pursued by two famous people. Sonny Bono and Lyle Waggoner ( from the Carol Burnett show). The ending is very touching and comforting. The second episode is "Henny Penny, No Chaser". In it Dorothy's young students are to put on a play named "Henny Penny" but then the kids are quarantined with a bug. Instead of cancelling the play, Sophia narrates, Dorothy plays the part of "Turkey Lurkey", Rose plays the part of "Henny Penny" and Blanche plays the part of "Goosey Loosey". A director friend of Dorothy plays the part of the Fox and he and the three ladies do a delightfully phenomenal job of it. This episode has never ceased to charm me. I really enjoy watching it. You'll love it too. I very highly recommend this series !!

Great playing dvd

This is a great collection for fans of the show. I personally binge-watched all ten hours without once getting off the couch. I don't know if it was the lack of food, or bathroom breaks, but afterward I fell into a deep sleep where I dreamt that I was a sleazy lounge singer and my band was all four Golden Girls. Estelle Getty was beating the skins on a kit that would rival Neil Peart's. Betty White was on upright bass, Rue McClanahan was blowin' smoky jazz on a sax, and Bea Arthur was playing keys with her right foot like only Jerry Lee Lewis or a really tall feminist could do! I can't promise that you will have the same awesome dreams and hallucinations that I had after buying this set, but I'm guessing you will. Enjoy!

I bought all six seasons for my daughter for her birthday (December 30th). She watches the shows repeatedly. It's her go to shows.

I wanted to add this to my collection. I just needed two more to complete my set
