Actually works!
This wood bleach is very easy to use. I like the mixing of the 2 parts for one application. Really did bleach the wood- I almost panicked. I wanted to take the red tones out of a wood table and was able to start with a blank canvas after using this bleach. Stained to a light nutmeg color and all the grains and variations came out. It's beautiful.

Great product to create white oak
I bought this product to take red oak (which is more readily available) and turn it into white oak (which is much harder to find). As recommended, I used this product on a test piece and was amazed that after one application it removed most if not all of the red tannins from the wood.I used the rest of my project and it worked great. Would strongly recommend using this product.

this stuff really works
I had a piece of black walnut that I needed to lighten. I tried both Oxalic acid and liquid beach that did nothing to lighten the wood. This stuff worked perfectly. I emailed the Daly folks and they called me back within hours and were really helpful with tips with walnut. Other posts have complained that it's not strong enough but if you follow the instructions it works great.

The only bleach for furniture that actually works!
I searched high and low to find this bleach. I tried regular Clorox bleach, pool strength chlorine bleach, I use oxalic acid and nothing worked until I used this!!! Extremely easy to apply did exactly what I needed and save the day. I absolutely would use this product again the only complaint I have is how much it costs for such as low volume and shipping. But the actual product that’s exactly what it says like no other bleach will

Worked really well
I needed to lighten some very dark walnut pieces to better match with the rest of a cabinet I'm making. I was worried this would turn the wood sort of gray/white (which I did not want) but I was pleasantly surprised--two coats of the full strength solution with a two-ish hour dry time before neutralizing just knocked the wood back to a lighter shade of brown. It matches much better with the rest of my project now.

The best wood bleach
The only way to bleach wood. Tried a few others but this is easily the most effective. It took a mahogany door to virtual white oak in 2 simple applications. Bleached only so deep so when you sand down the inevitable raised grain you expose a little of the original color so be prepared to do at least 2 applications. No strong smell and no burning either though I wore gloves for the application. Some small splashing was no big deal. Product ships fast.

Absolute garbage, do not waste your money.
I have used wood bleach for years. Unfortunately the brand which I was accustomed to using was discontinued. Wood bleach used to be readily found in most hardware stores and wood working suppliers but is not so anymore. I paid a rather high shipping cost due to hazmat restrictions due to the hydrogen peroxide strength of the "B" component. As stated in their SDS it should be 30% strength. It is not even as strong as the 3% solution that is used for first aid. Having used such products for years I know what 30% or higher hydrogen peroxide can do. I verified the weakness be putting a very small drop on a finger tip. Ordinarily it should burn the skin and turn it white almost instantly. It did not fizz and it did not turn the skin white even after a minute. Even bottles of two part wood bleach which I had had for nearly twenty years still had hydrogen peroxide of viable strength to work well. When combined with the "A" component which is sodium hydroxide, a form of lye regardless of what the seller claims, all you get is a more dilute solution of the sodium hydroxide. When applied to the wood is does not bleach it properly and results in some cases in a discoloration of the wood, which may ruin it. Fortunately I tried it first on scrap samples of types of wood that I have used wood bleach on in the past. In the pictured samples the bleach has been applied to the right side while the left side has none. The top sample is Holly a very light cream colored wood that should turn almost flour white when bleached. This product turned it faint yellow when applied. The next sample down is Zebra Wood which when bleached should result in a higher contrast between the lighter wood and the dark stripes. In this case it did not. The next two samples are Lahti and Wenge both of which, like Zebra Wood, should result in a higher contrast between the lighter and darker grain stripes. The product in itself is not inexpensive in relation to the quantity, when combined with the high shipping/hazmat fee, it is quite pricey. I am glad that I chose to purchase the smaller 1 pint each, package rather than the larger , 1 gallon each, sized package. Obviously due to having opened and used some of the product, along with the shipping and hazmat fees, I cannot return the product. I don't know whether this misfortune was due to a defective batch or if it is a fraudulent product, but I would not recommend anyone chance purchasing it unless you find it at a local retailer where you might be able to return it for a refund should it not work. In the future I may choose to make my own with high percentage hydrogen peroxide found at a pool supplier.
