B&K Precision DC Power Supply,Digital,60V,8A,7 in. H

I needed a simple power supply so I can test the function of various agricultural components (from simple switches to large electronic actuators). I didn't need any programming or monitoring that more expensive units offer - just power. This unit works perfect for that.

I first thought there was something wrong with the supply as the voltage could only be set to 12 volts and the current to only 3 amps meaning a 36 watt supply. However I noticed that the OCP and OVP were set. Upon downloading the instructions, I was able to verify that the voltage could be set to 60 volts and the current to 8 amps by changing the OVP and OCP.I noticed a previous reviewer had the same issue but never did a follow up or perhaps returned the supply.

My power supply doesn't output anywhere near 180W. If BK gets back to me with a solution I will post the solution and raise the star rating.

This is just as advertised. It was packaged nicely, and it works flawlessly. Great adjustability, you can adjust either the voltage or amperage (within a range) by volt/amp, 1/10 volt/amp, or 1/100 volt/amp.
