Probably one of the greatest game series ever made. Basically if you like Dark Souls or Bloodbornes combat, specifically the Boss Battles, you may actually love this game more. The franchise of Monster Hunter has been around even longer than the Souls series of games. And it shows in this, which is now not quite the latest iteration (Monster Hunter XX on Switch and very Shortly Monster Hunter World). After 13 years the game has been constantly refined and added to, the animations are wonderful, the graphical fidelity for a handheld is amazingly detailed and the sounds and music are awesome. However, note, if you have no patience, you will be bored by the starting quests. These quests are required if you are new to the series. vets will fly through them but if your new, take it slow and don't rush, you learn a lot at the beginning that's very useful later on. So if you fancy a challenging game where skill, timing, precision and patience are greatly rewarded or a boss rush version of a souls game, Monster Hunter is probably for you.
