Where is it made? And is there any plastic inside the valve?

I don't have the package anymore so I don't know where it's made. The only plastic is the silicone seals though, nothing but steel where the H2O flows.

About 2" for the spout and just under 3" for the handle.

what is the diameter of the threaded tap? what size hole is it designed for?

the spigot is designed to fit holes 5/8"-3/4" (16-19mm) openings. I cannot tell you the exact diameter of the spigot, due to the fact that it is currently installed on my filter system. Hope this helps.

I have the tru-view water level view spigot, can it be used with that (big berkey)?

Yes, it can be used with the Big Berkey System, you will need the 7.5" Version. The Tru-View Spigot cannot be used with the Berkey Stainless Steel Spigot, you will need to use one or the other.
