Easy to setup

I just wanted to chime in here. Some of the other reviews I've seen are a little overly pessimistic. For me, this has been a great switch. It works as advertised and is exactly what I needed for my home network at a decent price. Yes, it runs a little hot. Yes it might fail (like mine did after 2 years). But the lifetime warranty with free 1 day advance replacement (in the US) will have you back up an running very quickly. Just keep a cheap spare switch on hand.

I am not an expert. I was looking for a switch with good performance and the ability to put the ports to sleep when there's no traffic. I read some reviews on specialized websites and trusted the brand. The price/quality ratio is good with a nice level of finish and a metal casing. I have 2 at home, one of which I have been using for several years. It's ready to use, no configuration to assign, it doesn’t heat up, and I have never had a single problem with it. An excellent product at a good price.

Very sturdy metal casing/design which is great once you have a bunch of cables connected to it which may pull it one way or another. Works well, fast connections. *FYI, not covered in the documentation and maybe obvious to pros but you cannot plug-in any Ethernet cables that are connected to slower Megabit devices in sequence before any Gigabit cables/devices. Plug in all gigabit speed Ethernet cables into ports and then plug in the megabit cables after.
