Am i able to program this for my 2010 gmc yukon denali myself? or do i have to take these to the dealership or to a locksmith to have them programmed?

I program mind using the Yukon 2007 info button there is down load site via the info note that comes with the fobs… I programmed them my self via down loaded instructions…I think your year of GMC is covered…The fobs work well once programmed via step by step and using the “I” Info button on your steering wheel or your dashboard depends what model you have..There is a tag that comes with the fob that gives you the internet site to visit…

Is this fob a gm oem product or is it after-market?

This is an after market brand. I haven't had any issues with programming or all functions working properly. When I went to get keys made, the gentleman programmed both fobs within 5 minutes.

Compatible with 2007 Tahoe, extremely easy to set up, and all buttons work as long as you have the features on your vehicle. Fobs feel sturdy. I didn't have the original fobs, and these work great.
