As someone who struggles mightily with wavy hair that insists on ONLY being wavy no matter what product, tool or technique I use, I was floored when I tried this straightener at my friend's house one day. Without using any special leave-in spray or other hair products, I found myself with perfectly straight, non-frizzy hair that lasted all day in 90-degree heat!I went straight home and bought one. I have used it several times since and been impressed with the same consistent result. The digital screen is sleek and temps are easy to read and adjust. It's sturdy and feels like an expensive tool.

So I ordered this flat Iron and I must say I think I got ripped off ! Tricked ya ! =) I think I did the ripping off, This product performs above and beyond what I was expecting. For less than $20 I got my money's worth. Think I want to order 3 more just in case something happens to this one that I have =). I'm sooooo In love, I must say this is a huge step up from what I was used to "GoldNHot" flat irons that would always melt on the side, and the plate would crack snagging my hair as I glided through my Hair.The reviews made me get it, I must say that I am a Product Junkie so Seeing all the great reviews I had to see what the hype was about ! An I must say now I know. These Flat Iron go up 410 Degrees, and its Lowest setting is 310 Degrees. It only takes 30 seconds to heat up, You don't need to have it up so high, One pass through your hair should be enough.Now I'm in the process of going natural so I've never used it on me but used it on my natural Little cousin's hair and It Straightened her hair soooo sooo good. After Straighten her long extremely thick hair I noticed the shine it gave her hair, it was nice and soft, shiny, and straight didn't take long to straighten her almost waist length hair. There is an automatic shut off after 60 minutes, which is good for those of us who rush then once we leave the house realize "ooops" I left the flat Iron on !!!! So Now worries there. Soon will try this with my natural hair. So far so good. No Need to go out and get a Chi or a Pricey Flat Iron This does the trick I promise. I'm into hair I even tested this out on some 100% Human Hair Blend, For those of you who aren't familiar with that term, It is a Human hair, and synthetic hair blend of hair. Now this hair Was created on a wig, and if you know anything about Synthetic wigs or hair you know how the tips get all ratty looking right ? This flat Iron Straightened it right on out and I was able to give it a Kim K. Kind of feathered curl, and It flowed nicely and brought the hair back to life. If I told you I paid hundreds of dollars on that hair you wouldn't know that I wasn't telling the truth!I Absolutely recommend this Flat Iron 100 times ! Great quality for a Great price, don't sleep on Remington. You guys better get it while the getting is good, Next thing you know Remington will be to expensive for us Lol. UPDATE: I finally received the promised replacement flat iron and what a difference. I haven't had any of the issues that I had with the first one, and it is overall a more well-made version. My first one had no blue LED lights to indicate it was on, meaning I had to pick up the iron and squint into the little window to make sure it was working. The replacement one has the LED lights, better power switches and works so much better. I contacted Remington with the case ID number they gave in the comments on my first review, and received a response about 3 days later saying they would send me another flat iron. Almost 3 weeks later I had to contact them again and was told that my shipment somehow got stalled in the warehouse. Their promise of getting one out to me by express was kept, and it was no hardship a few days later to wrap up the first version and ship it back where it was hopefully destroyed by Remington in the hopes that no other customer received such a shoddy version.I want to like this, and based on straightening performance alone, I would like to give it 5 stars. The price is certainly right. It heats up very quickly and does a great job on my hair, but after using it for just over a week, I noticed an issue with the on/off feature. I can turn it on, but within a few seconds, it has shut itself off and no matter how often you push the power button, it will not come on. The next day, it might work absolutely fine, but then the cycle of not staying on will start over again on the next day. I'm not sure what the return policy is on an issue like this and don't want to have to pay to return it. Very frustrating!

I actually like this Straightener because it is really simple, gets the job done, and it is an affordable price. I have thin hair so it doesn't take much heat or repeatition to get the job done. However, my daughter that has extremely thick hair this Straightener works perfectly on her hair also on the higher heat setting and one piece doesn't have to be done over and over again like most cheap straighteners.

I already used it, and it is excellent. It's great for travel, easy to use and an excellent purchase. I look forward to using this for years to come.

Great flat iron, it's small for short hair and works amazing, easy to manage and use.

Nice slim/sleek design. Great orice.Heats from 310 - 370 degrees F. Just one thing off with this product - you can't clamp it 100% together. There's an odd millimeter gap.
