Q: How many pancakes does the basic directions make, 1 cup mix and 3/4 cup water?

I use a half cup which makes 3 small pancakes

Q: Is it a good idea to use cold water with this pancake mix?

I do and have had no issue. I usually mix 1/4 cup Kodiak with 1 egg, 1 Tbsp baking powder and 1 Tbsp water (usually cold) - mix then make pancakes, delish! Makes 3 good size cakes with these measurements.

Q: Can this be prepared ahead of time for the morning?

I would actually make the pancakes and refrigerate them. The mix itself changes consistency and may be problematic left overnight.

Q: Can you use the box mix to make it in a mug like the power cups?

I imagine so. But ive never tried it.
