I have used this product before. A family member uses it and it has worked great for their nerve pain. I had a spot on my face that I put some of the DMSO on and it went away. The odor is not bad. I have had some before that had a very strong smell. I purchased this for my husbands nerve pain. Great product.

I've tried everything but surgery for sciatica & lumbar pain, and this is the only thing that works for me. Yes, it smells a little like sulfur or garlic. All DMSO does have an odor, more or less. Your breath may stink temporarily after using. So may your skin. But the odor washes off. Plan ahead! Don't apply before a date. Yes, it solidifies at under 64 degrees, but re-liquifies at higher temps. Simply store where it'll stay warmer than 65. Yes, it can feel like it burns the skin, especially tender skin areas. All DMSO does. Dilute it with purified or distilled water, so that the water will hydrate & cool the skin. The burning sensation is temporary, 5-10 minutes for me. I did a lot of reading about DMSO from Dr Mercola about this product BEFORE I bought it and before I took it orally. This product has several uses and it will not harm surrounding tissues. I had trigger finger, and now that problem is gone after my first dose of 1/4 teaspoon. I’ve had a pinched nerve in my lower spine and now that is slowly fading away. The strength of this product is 99% with very high quality, and it comes in a glass jar which is also the best containment for this product. It’s very effective and the cost is very good especially for this extremely high quality product. There is no odor, but there is a taste, so I will mix 1/8 teaspoon with juice and drink it once per day. I’ve even used this on a skin problem that my husband had, and that problem is now almost gone. I want to see if this product can aid a problem I have with one of my retinas, so I will continue to use this everyday because it does not harm surrounding tissues. We're on our second bottle. The DMSO itself works wonders. My husband is taking it for a neurological condition and is very pleased with the results. I've used it as well for muscle pain with good success. The only issue we've had is with the bottle cap. It has 2 parts: a hard outer cap and a soft inner piece that acts as a plug, probably airtight, which is good. However, the two pieces are not attached. And every time I open it, I have to pry the soft inner piece from the bottle. It's annoying and time consuming, and I end up with DMSO on my fingers which is not where I wanted to apply it. I don't know if this was a deliberate choice by the manufacturer. If so, I'd like someone to explain to me how this makes sense. Can't they just attach the pieces to each other? I gave the rating 4 stars solely because of the bottle.

DMSO is one of the best things I have ever used. I used to have to use voltaren gel. A friend told me about this and i bought it. After just the first topical use the knot of inflammation i had at the base of my neck for over 10 years went down over 90% and the swelling has not come back. I have a lot of physical problems that DMSO cannot fix but it helps with the inflammation and pain. It does not take a lot of it. Make sure u recap as soon as possible and do not throw away the little piece that is under the cap. If u throw it away the DMSO will leak out. It keeps it air tight and from leaking. I use it on my shoulders which are frozen and hurt and it helps so much, on my hips, my neck where I had to have surgery, any joint, even my feet. As with any topical treatment it doesn't stop the pain forever but it is so much better than any other pain cream or gel i have ever used. With DMSO u need to be careful with what u get on your skin after using it topically or drinking it. I warn u that when u drink DMSO it gets warm and tastes really nasty but it hasn't hurt me. I have found that i must be careful about being around chemicals such as roach poison. It makes me feel ill. I get over it but DMSO makes me more sensitive to chemicals. Also I found out after getting some shots and removing the bandaids when I put DMSO on over where they were removed at it started interfering with the bandaid sticky stuff and it did burn and turn red where the bandaids were. I really really like this stuff. I do believe it is worth the money. Just do your research about it and any meds u take. It acts differently when u drink it. Because I had a friend that had used it before and helped me look up my meds to see if they would interfere with each other I have had very good results. I have been using DMSO for about a month and when I miss a day or two I know about it. I have been on very strong pain pills for a long time because I have degenerative disk disease and mild scoliosis and other problems but since I have started using this I do not have to take any pain pill except when I haven't used any DMSO for a few days.

When this product arrived it was cold outside, the DMSO was partially crystalized, a good indicator of an undiluted product! The first time I took this orally, however, I thought that it must be diluted in some way because the taste was so much more mild than the other products on Amazon I tried before! I've purchased this several times now. My whole family loves it for a variety of uses, and it has also been wonderful for our animals. This is good quality, and it works, it's definitely the real deal. I love, love, love this product. My husband was so impressed by it that he urged me to order several more bottles! It's fantastic. I can't believe the bad reviews. Seriously, where has this stuff been all my life?!? I'd give it 10 stars if I could. I won't go into details as to the many uses we have found it useful for, or the wonderful effects that have pleasantly surprised us.
