There are a lot of sushi kits out there! I chose this one because it had the elements I most wanted: two mats, a little sushi knife (not strictly needed but who am I to turn down a knife?), attractive bowls and chopsticks, and some fun-looking molds that I'd never used before. I wasn't particularly looking for a "sushi bazooka," but pretty much every kit wants to give you one - same with the paddles, chopstick rests, avocado slicer, and water brush. Still, they can be handy to have. I have not put the bazooka to use, but everything else has been great. The mats and knife are of decent quality, the bowls are pretty, and the molds have been really handy. Sometimes I set out to use them, and other times I had a little rice left over from making rolls and the molds let me put it to good use. My husband and I have been making veggie sushi left and right and really enjoying it! It's easy to be creative and a little playful with so many options, and it's all easy to use and clean. I got it for under $25 and I've already had hours of fun and several great meals from it.

Good quality and tools. I misunderstood the first photo thinking it came with a container to hold all the pieces but it's still a nice kit to make sushi easier

Amazing. Works wonders. The tube that makes the rice roll is amazing and produces a perfect roll each time. Makes the world of creating sushi much easier. It also comes with other molds for the rice, chop sticks, sauce bowls, chopstick holders, a very sharp knife and more. The knife is great as it is very, very sharp but has holes on the side. I’m assuming this is to keep the rice from sticking to it as you are cutting the sushi. It’s a great kit. Really happy I bought it.

The bazooka works surprisingly well. Be aware you won't be rolling rice on the outside maki unless you do it manually. The sushi rice mold along with the knife are useless. The knife is a bit thick so even sharpened it's sticky on the rice. The sushi rice mold is small and it's easier to do with damp hands. The onigiri mold works really well. Size is good and you get good compression and can pop them out. The matts suck. you have to wrap them in plastic wrap which doesn't stay well in place and it would be much smarter to include one silicone rolling mat with a starter kit instead of 2 bamboo ones. All the rest of the stuff is just throw ins really. The battleship molds are okay but not many people starting out will use that. Make sure you oil the bazooka and compress it well before you take off the cap and push the roll out and you should be fine. Their video is okay and there are lots of youtube videos to get you started. Wetting the Kinfe for each cut on the rolls will also help you get acceptable results. Costco has tempura shrimp that work perfect for dynamite rolls. they also have frozen tuna poke that makes great tuna roll. just add some fresh green onion

We liked this kit because everything we would need was included. It was fun learning how to use everything. The end results came out better than we expected. We look forward to using this kit much more in the future.

Item came well package and complete as described. All the items are very handy. I love the onigiri molds and the additional sushi mold which provides additional shapes other than using the bazooka barrel. I love the 2 little dishes for sauce and wasabi dipping. Whole set is good to prepre for sushi presentation. I also bot the Oke rice cooling bamboo tub for mixing the sushi rice. Thanks Amazon
