Well-written, age-appropriate, and insightful
I'm always on the lookout for new children's books that depict different cultures and religions, as I sometimes learn more from them than I do from other books! And as a children's book author myself, I like to see what 'new' books are out there. This book is VERY nicely illustrated (calming color scheme; enchanting overall) and evenly paced. It can be hard to write for a very young audience, especially about religions, but this book gets it right. In addition, I would also recommend this book for older non-Muslim children and teens, who simply want to learn more about Islam. Well done!

Helpful
While I cannot attest to the educational implications of this little book as they may relate to Muslim children. I, as someone who knew nothing about the origins of the Muslim religion before I read it, learned quite a bit. In addition to the text, the illustrations were captivating. My appreciation to the author.

So necessary and relevant
This book is so important for boys and girls to read. We live in a very Christian-dominated world...a world that frowns upon the Muslim experience. It is so important to have stories like this for boys and girls, those who are Muslim and those are not. It is time to stop stigmatizing this group. Thank you for this book!

Good, but could be better.
I got this book to help promote diversity for my young nieces and nephews. Something of which we all could use. The book is divided into three short stories and although I appreciated the tales for what they teach, I thought the writing could use another round of editing. At times the flow of the story is a bit abrupt and difficult possibly for younger children to follow. The last story about the gardens of Sheba was by far the best and illustrated wonderfully.

Beautifully Illustrated and Nicely Written
I read this book out of curiosity, not knowing anything about Islamic culture. I read a lot of children's literature, as a retired reading educator. At first, I thought the 3-9+ age range was too broad, but it's is a read-aloud for most of the ages listed, which makes the vocabulary acceptable. It is fine for the older kids as well and contains relevant religious references. The stories are simple, clear, and engaging. The illustrations are wonderful. I liked the fact that each story, especially the last, had a slightly different "look." The author states in the introduction she is writing this book for Muslim families. but I think others outside the religion would enjoy the book as well. As an adult, it took me a few minutes to read, but I learned a lot. I enjoyed it.

beautyful
The media could not be loaded. Very colorful and attractive book for kids. I love how there are pictures to each story to help the child understand what is happening. The way this book was put together is fascinating. It is printed with good quality color printing, which is great for children. The content is excellent, simple, and playful. The author teaches Islamic morals, values, and basics based on authentic stories without imposing our religious principles. Instead, the message that comes across is to love Allah and embrace Islam. This book kept my grandchildren aged 8 and 5 engaged throughout and helped introduce a challenging subject for most parents to explain. A must-have for Muslims who want to introduce Allah, Prophet Stories, and essential Islamic morals to their children from an early age.
