I used this hammer to crack open some peach pits and to knock off some broken wood pieces on our deck. The screws had rusted and left some sharp ends sticking out, the hammer took care of it no problem. The weight is nice for any basic home project, it's not too light or too heavy that it makes your wrist tired. The rubber grip is nice and the size of the handle is makes it easy to use.I ordered this hammer after ours went missing during a home remodel.Would I buy again: Yep!

Great Hammer works great

I bought this to replace a much loved 40 yr. old Craftsman. The hammer feels great in hand and does what a hammer is supposed to do without fail. It does make a ping when striking a nail and I can see where it could bug some, but it doesn't me. Haven't smashed my thumb yet and it has held up well to everything I've needed to do. Shortly after receiving it, I found my old Craftsman. I'm glad I purchased it as it's a ripping hammer unlike my other one which is a claw hammer. It's nice to have one of each. The grip on this hammer is fantastic, way better than my old friend. Good product, 100% satisfied customer.

Hammer has a durable clear coating that makes it easy to clean and keep its look over time. It's lighter than a wood handled hammer but that could be that a hard wood handle makes it so. It's of standard size and the claw is curved just right for removing tough nails. All in all it will do the job, but as for construction work, you will need a little more weight to make less effort nailing up frame work.
