I am a 36 c and I bought a large and they fit perfect . Depending on your build I would say medium to large . They are stretchy .

Q: How thick are the pads?

The pads are not that thick per say, but they are very stiff and a bit pointy. I think I am going to remove the pads for a more rounded shape.

Q: I wear a 40D what size would fit me?

Purchase the same size as your t-shirts. I'm also a 40D and I got xl, they fit fine.

Q: I am a 34A. what size? My breasts are small but my back is rounded, so a small would be too small.

They are so soft and stretchy that I think a small is right.
