Not what I needed, but I knew that was a possibility.
This works great for printers and some CNC machines. However, I needed it for a GameShark v3.2 for N64 and those only work with a *very* specific USB-to-parallel cable. This was not one of those.I am leaving a good review as the cable does what it's supposed to. I unfortunately could not find it's multiplexer chip to confirm it was compatible with my use case online, so in case anyone else is looking, this is not compatible with the N64 GameShark. For that use case, my suggestion is a PCI Parallel port for desktop computers. Compatible USB adapters have become nearly impossible to find since 2010.

Excellent add-on for PCs without a printer port.
I needed to use my old Panasonic 24-pin dot matrix printer on myWin7 computer (that had no serial or parallel ports) - so I boughtthis USB-to-parallel DB25 adapter. This is how I set it up:1. Connect the printer to the DB25 socket. Turn the printer on, andconnect the USB cable to the computer. The PC automatically configuredthe adapter, so I didn't have to worry about device drivers.2. Go to the Control Panel, and select "Devices and Printers". Select"Add a printer", then select "Add a local printer".3. Select "Use an existing port", and select "USB001 (Virtual printerport for USB)". DO NOT use "LPT1 (Printer port)" !!!!4. You will be asked to identify your printer. Unfortunately "Panasonic"wasn't listed, so I used "OKI", and specified "OKI Generic dot-matrix24pin printer".5. An icon will appear in the "Devices and Printers" box, and you cannow use the printer.I consider this product to be very useful, and well worth the price.

Buon prodotto

Ganz großes Like!
