Is the opening 3” wide or does the 3” include the thiskness of the side walla

These are very nice, and the opening is 3 and 11/16, almost 3 3/4 wide.

Is there any lip on the ends?

No lip open both ends perfect cylinder

Are these all the same exact size? Someone left a review saying that they are different.

The size difference has to do with the inner diameter only. I like to product.
