AT&T TV Now DirecTV Receiver Remote Control Voice Remote Control C71KW Black

Just ordered AT&T Fiber and added their DirectTV Package. They gave me a free Gemini Streaming box. It came with a remote, but I had a Logitech Harmony remote I had been using with Comcast. It would not work with the Gemini Streaming box as it is Bluetooth only and my remote was IR only. Did some reading and it seams many of the aftermarket remotes would have the same issue. So I checked and found that Amazon has the Gemini remote available. Found this seller had the best price. His reviews were good. So I pulled the trigger and ordered it. The remote arrived overnight. So bonus points for quick delivery. Once it arrived it was extremely easy to pair. No need to look for instructions online as the Gemini Streaming Box had an animated video that showed on the TV showing which buttons to push on the remote to put it in pairing mode. It took less than 15 seconds for it to pair. Once it did the Streaming Box told me it needed to update software of the remote. This took about 5 minutes as it had to download the update from the Internet and then upload it to the remote. But it was all done automatically with no input from me. Just keep fingers off the buttons while it does the update. Once the update completed the remote works exactly like the remote that came with the Gemini Streaming Box. It even had the settings to control volume on my TV, which I had already setup on the original remote. The Gemini Streaming Box included those settings as part of the pairing process. So I am very happy with the decision to order another Gemini remote. Only warning I would give is that the remote did not come in a box from the seller. It just had a plastic wrap on it. The batteries were inside the remote. It looks like the seller had pulled the remote out of a box with the Gemini Streaming Box and sold the remote out of the package. Amazon shipped the remote in a paper envelope. It could have been easy for the remote to be damaged in shipping. Thankfully it was not damaged. Not even a scratch. Amazon should put it in a box with some bubble wrap to protect it, instead of using a paper envelope. So that is a mark against the Amazon shipping department.

If you have DIRECTV and need an additional remote, this is the one you’re looking for. It looks exactly like the remote that comes with your DIRECTV. Pairing the additional remote was super easy. Just go into settings, system, and then remote and devices. There you can pair up your new remote. I’m very happy with mine. The only button that doesn’t seem to work normally is the mute button. For some reason I have to hit the mute button twice very quickly and then it will mute. Then I have to hit it twice again to unmute it or I just hit the volume and that will unmute it. Other than that, it works just fine and I can live with the mute button. It’s really a non-issue for me. Again I’m very happy with this remote and glad I found it on Amazon. I would definitely recommend this to a friend who has DIRECTV.

I bought this remote on 1/26/26. It worked very well until I had to change the batteries. It came with batteries which stopped working 3/26. After I changed the batteries it worked for a few days and then stopped working. Two blue lights flashed at the top of the remote. I was ready to call Amazon and complain, but then I decided to look at other people‘s reviews. One person wrote a review which included a picture of how to pair the remote to my television. You hold down the fast forward and the fast return button at the same time pointing the remote at the TV. This paired the device with my television and it works fine now. My TV remote died and the provider could not / would not offer replacement. I looked on Amazon as a last resort and found an exact replacement. It works perfectly.

Got DirectTV Stream from AT&T and wanted an extra remote for same TV. Simple reason, my mom and dad both use the living room tv and it is nice for each to have their own remote within arms length. In store however they said I would have to buy for an extra Gemini Air(android tv dongle) for an extra remote which would have been $7 extra PER MONTH which to me was outrageous. My Mom said should would pay for it but I told her no because I knew would probably find it online. I didn't make a fuss and simply said no but seems silly don't just sell you a second remote in store!!! A quick search right then and there found many for sale all as I anticipated at many retailers. Amazon of course my go to for online shopping was one so I ordered which was the same price as anywhere else and it was here in 2 days with Prime Shipping. It looks almost identical to the one we received at store. They make many versions of these remotes but they all work the same basically. Extremely minor differences some people may not even notice. But for sake of completion from our personal original... the DirectTV logo was slightly lower on back, the batteries were better(store ones became old within a week and had to be replaced), battery door was smaller and better, and finally and most noticeable difference is in front the one we received from store has a small white border around the very bottom right "Apps" button while this one has no border around the button. That is great though because as a perfect copy could confuse which remote is which. We are VERY satisfied for around $15 versus the outrageous price/offer they gave us at store. This is a great value amd saves us a lot of money. Highly recommend this item! Attached single photo of the front of the remote that we got.
