Better than expected - a TRUE water saver
After just a few days use, i am compelled to write a review on this product.1. It is well made and look and feels high quality2. The detented adjustments allow a wide array fitment, and the detent positions hold very well3. The flapper is adjustable for the length of time the flapper stays open.. which is nice4. Easy installation... almost too easyNow... the primary reason for my review is the following5. The longest "flap open" setting of 10, leaves about 3 nches of water in the bowl, which made me concerned.. as this was the longest the flap could stay up ( 10 was Max)BUT6. I watched the actual bowl flush and it was a complete, full length flush..7. I confirmed this by leaving the tank cover off for three days, and the tank would have about 3 inches of water BUT still allowed a complete flushThis is a real water saver, as the flapper it replaced would drain down to about an inch..I was concerned that the flapper was closing too quickly to allow a full flush BUT it does allow a full flushGreat product

Amazing part - great customer services
11/10 customer service. I bought a Fluidmaster 5403 3-Inch flapper in November 2021. In March 2026 4 1/2 years later it had developed a small blister on its O-ring and would not seal correctly. Typical wear I assumed. As I was ordering another one I saw it had a ten year warranty. After ordering the new one I went to the Fluidmaster web page and found the warranty information. I filled in and sent the warranty form and 45 minutes later I got an email with a FedEx tracking number saying a replacement part was on its way. The new part got here in 3 days. This flapper fits perfectly - took on a minute to install - and works great. Not only is this a great part that does the job the customer services was bonkers good. From now own Fluidmaster will be used for all my toilet needs. The people at Fluidmaster shall sit amongst the chosen.
