I have had this installed for a week now. I have it pulling cooler outside air into attic. I am pleased so far, easy to hook up strait forward. It dose make a little noise,but it is in ceiling of my porch. I can hear it speed up when sun starts shining on it. It will not run fan if sun is not on solar panel duh. sun set off and sun rise on.I am putting a controller and 12 volt battery on it so it will run at night. can set it to go on and off with controller. Cloudy day and it slows down and speeds up when clouds pass. That's normal. I have noticed it takes my attic longer to heat up and if I run it at night faster to cool down. Should help A/C not have to work so hard I hope.

The fan works great and moves plenty of overly warm air out of the greenhouse. It is exactly what we needed and we got the thermostat to have it only run when above 85 deg. The solar power runs the fan up faster the more sunny it becomes which is nice. Installation was fairly straight forward with some figuring things out due to somewhat light instructions but not bad. The reason I took one star away is that the connectors come set up for the fan to draw air in so I had to cut the connectors off and replace them with ones I could reverse to get the fan to blow the hot air out. My suggestion to the manufacturer is to leave the connectors off, strip the wires, and include some wire nuts to wire it up the way you need - Some buyers may not have a crimping tool to install the connectors themselves like I did.

I installed this fan I our new greenhouse to use for ventilation. It was easy to install as I cut a hole in a piece of plywood I had pre installed as we were putting the greenhouse up. I also built a stand outside to install the solar panel at a 54 degree angle facing southwest as to get the best afternoon sunlight in our area. As soon as I plugged the fan to the solar panel it went to work. I will have to get a battery backup as cloudy days it will not work. As small thin clouds covered the sun it slowed way down and thicker clouds it stopped. It does pull a lot of air at full speed.

I don’t like long views, but this one deserves a little time. The solar panel and the motor appear to be of good quality, time will tell. Now for the rest of it. There are no useful instructions of any kind. In short, the wiring is too light for the capability of the solar panel, it is speaker 16gage wire, which is light, and is prone to heating up. The wire connectors on the end of the wires did not match the connectors on the solar panel properly and about half of them fell off the end of the wire during assembly. The thermostat that came with it did not work, but they did send me a new one promptly. In my opinion,It’s usual to have electrical components of this type or most other types using a fuse to protect the equipment and protect from a chance of a fire, there is no fuse included with this kit, nor is there any mention of using one. I used the solar panel and the motor and replace components between with higher quality components, including a fuse and a switch. Time wasted installing because of of obtaining proper components.
