Love this oil!
I love this oil. I grew up in Ukraine 40 years ago, and sunflower oil was a staple. It came in glass bottles and was very cloudy, unrefined, and tasted wonderful. For years, russian food stores were the only places I was able to find such oil, imported from Russia or Ukraine.Since I live far from such stores now, I was very happy to find this sunflower oil on Amazon, and I love that it's American-grown and I know where it comes from. It has the same wonderful light nutty taste as the sunflower oil of my childhood. When I fry with it, the sunflower taste becomes stronger. When I put it in salads my American partner and friends always ask "what's that flavor, it tastes great, what's in the salad dressing?" Just sunflower oil and white vinegar!I just bought my second gallon jug, btw, I love that it comes in glass. And here's the recipe for my cabbage salad that I make with this oil:1 medium head green cabbage2 bunches of green onions1 bunch cilantro2 medium jalapeno pepperssunflower oil & white vinegarsaltChop/slice the cabbage small, like for cole slaw or even smaller, into a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt. Lightly bruise the cabbage -- with clean hands, take fistfulls of the lightly salted cabbage in the bolw and squeeze, until all the cabbage has been lightly squished.Chop up green onions, add to the cabbage.Core and clean jalapenos, finely chop, add to the cabbage.Chop cilantro, add to the cabbage.Pour in a couple tablespoons of white vinegar, and 4 or so tablespoons of sunflower oil. Mix it all well, add vinegar/oil/salt to taste as needed.Enjoy!

🇺🇸USA! 🇺🇸
Support your USA farmers & purchase this beautiful cold pressed sunflower oil. I use it for cooking and as a skin emollient and in my homemade body butters and soap making. It’s great for getting slip with your gua sha and for putting a tiny amount on your dry ends to make your curly girl hair better conditioned (I add in some lavender EO). I even add some whipped into my purchased lotion base to make it more emollient. It’s non comedogenic and the slight nutty sunflower frangrance can be blended out with essential oils if using in body care.I was buying a Ukrainian brand before, but I’m happy to have made the switch to supporting jobs for my fellow American citizens for not much more cost.Although it is a “seed oil” do not confuse cold pressed high quality seed oils with low quality heat and hexane extracted oils which are pro-inflammatory.

Farm To Table...
...deliciousness. Authentic, no bull, real deal. I didn't want to write a review, but this product deserves praise for pure honesty. This is what "Made in USA" meant in the past when referring to quality.

Fragrant flavor of freshly picked sunflowers
Opened this glass bottle of virgin sunflower oil and its flavor brought me back to sunflower fields in Italy and the unforgettable dressing on a salad that was just virgin oil with a sprinkling of salt.My wife asked if it was rancid when smelling the oil in the bottle, just because most of the stores in the US carry refined sunflower oil so you just do not expect any aroma as such. We took a few drops, warmed them up on our hands and the kitchen was filled with the aroma of freshly picked sunflowers.I cannot rave about this oil enough

Tastes rancid. Can’t return. Don’t buy.
I have been purchasing another brand of sunflower oil for years, but their pricing went up so i tried this brand out instead. After the first couple days of using this particular brand, I tried to make some cornbread and it tasted awful. I thought that my cornmeal had somehow gone bad even though that has never happened before. I just used it again this morning to bake a chocolate cake and the cake tastes stale, similar to how my cornbread tasted (the only common ingredient to the two recipes was the oil - the cornbread was gluten&dairy free but this cake uses regular flour and milk). I noticed that this sunflower oil smelled funny when I poured it into the batter. I’m now confident that it is the sunflower oil that tastes strange, and I have never tasted or smelled anything like that and the other brand of sunflower oil that I used to purchase. Seller does not accept returns so that is $40 wasted. Just spend the extra five or $10 and get a better oil from somewhere else.
