Reliable, Consistent, and Vibrant โ A Great Everyday Filament
As someone who prints regularly for both functional parts and hobby models, Iโve gone through several brands of PLA. OVERTUREโs purple filament is one of the better options Iโve used, especially at this price point. Pros: Color & Finish: The purple hue is vibrant without being garish. It has a nice semi-gloss finish that really pops on detailed prints like figurines and display pieces. Winding & Spool: The spool is neatly wound, which matters more than most people realize โ no tangles or snags, which means fewer failed prints due to filament jams or inconsistent feeding. Print Performance: Layer adhesion is solid. I printed at 200ยฐC with a 60ยฐC bed and got smooth, clean results with minimal stringing. It handled retraction and bridging well, even on more complex geometries. Compatibility: Works great with my Ender 3 V2 and also performed well on a Prusa MK3S+. Iโve gone through nearly the entire spool without any noticeable inconsistencies or clogging. Cons: Not the strongest PLA: While the surface quality is excellent, this isnโt the toughest PLA Iโve worked with. If you need something more impact-resistant or functional under stress, you might want to look at PLA+ or PETG. Slight odor when printing: Nothing overpowering, but thereโs a noticeable sweet-plastic smell during printing. Itโs not unpleasant โ just something to be aware of if printing in a small space. Final Verdict: For hobbyists, cosplay builders, and general-purpose 3D printing, OVERTUREโs PLA delivers reliable performance and vibrant results. Itโs especially good for decorative prints or detailed models. Not quite industrial-grade, but itโs consistent, beginner-friendly, and well-priced. Iโll definitely be buying more colors from this brand.

Great quality with a deep gray color
This is not the cheapest filament, but the quality makes up for it. It prints consistently and gives clean, reliable results without much effort. The deep gray color looks great in person and has a nice, rich tone that stands out compared to standard gray filaments. Overall, a solid choice if you are willing to pay a bit more for dependable performance and better-looking prints.

Good filament
I'm using this filament with my Anycubic i3 Mega-S and it is working fine. Prints in a nice somewhat glossy black (Although the bottom layer that is against the base looks more matte) Seems to be a bit thicker (as in viscosity, not dimensions) than the original filament that came with my printer, and might benefit from being printed at a slightly higher temperature, although it seems to work just fine at the default print settings for my printer. When I first got the filament, I initially thought there might be some kind of problem, because with the filament that comes with the printer I can hit the "filament in" button, and it will extrude plastic forever if I let it. With this stuff, it extrudes for awhile, and then the feeder starts skipping. I think because it's a bit less viscous, the "filament in" just pushes the filament more quickly than it can extrude, and eventually pressure builds up to a point that the feeder can't overcome it. It was only after I ignored this and just tried a print that I realized it works fine. I am pretty new with 3d printing, and this is my first roll of non-stock filament, so I didn't really know what to expect. The scent from this filament while printing is maybe slightly more than the original filament, but still barely perceptible and not unpleasant. I have not tried the included build surface with this filament, but it seemed to work well with the Overture branded PETG that I tried it with. Adhesion is great and comparable to the stock filament as long as the gap between the nozzle and the print bed is correct. Comes in a resealable bag, which is super convenient! Also comes with a ruler, and the spool has markings on it (questionable accuracy?) to help you estimate how much filament you've used, and how much remains. (See pics) UPDATE: This is still great filament, so I haven't removed any stars or anything, but I did notice they've raised the price and it is now over $30 canadian for 1kg. I thought I had found my go-to brand for filament. Unfortunately at this price I will be looking at other options.

Quality and consistency
I've used Overture filament for multiple prints and have been very happy with how consistently it performs. The filament feeds smoothly and has given me reliable results from one print to the next without any unexpected issues. Layer adhesion has been excellent, which has helped my prints come out strong and appear clean. The quality has remained consistent throughout the spool, making it easy to trust for longer projects. I always go for Overture since it's a dependable filament that delivers great print quality and good value for the price. I would recommend this to any getting into the hobby. I made a Darth Vader pen holder and super happy with thr quality! Been giving several of them to friends and family.
