A bit on the pricey side, but if you want a quality product, you need to consider this mixer. It's powerful enough for heavy dough and mixes with no problem. I love the silver color. I purchased a dust cover for it as it sits on the counter and this prevents dust and dirt from getting into the bowl and on the mixer. The stainless bowl is excellent quality and the handle is sturdy and useful. All good as far as I'm concerned. Why buy something cheaper and then have to purchase again and again? This mixer was bought all in good faith for my daughter who lives 10,000 miles away from me. I ordered it from Amazon au and it arrived all in good time but it has a UK plug on it? Absolutely amazed when I bought it from amazons Australian website you’d have thought it was set up for Australian use. You might think what’s all the fuss about when all is needed is an adapter plug BUT lo and behold it says do not use with an adapter!!! I would like a suggestion please as to what to do. This is an expensive mixer so I am very disappointed and unhappy. Nowhere does it say in the details that this is for Uk market. So please watch out if you are buying for Australia from Amazon au.

KitchenAid have done it again. I bought this to replace my Kenwood A901 and I would absolutely do it again, 10 times over. A stunning bit of kit for any keen baker or chef looking to save time (I've saved hours on stretch and folds with this thing) or keep their hands clean. The Artisan is the perfect size for smaller counter tops, unintrusive and absolutely will not be moving- this thing is HEAVY in all the right ways. The mixer itself wipes down in seconds and the attachments clean quickly with a quick scrub in warm water. Everything I've baked, cooked or whipped up has been near perfect every time. Though pricey, the Artisan genuinely feels like it will last forever and if you are able, I 100% recommend purchasing this.
