Typical of Vallejo, this is another excellent quality paint from them. This is a difficult paint to use though, like the other metallics from this selection. You need to mix well, really well. The bottle does come with small bearings inside to facilitate mixing, but if like me, you can't shake these types of bottles without them launching across the room you'll need to use an agitator. To be honest, I would suggest you use an agitator anyway. Mixing is onerous to say the least. Using an orbital agitator to mix this can take up to 20 minutes to get a good thorough mix. Once that is done, you will need to close the lid and mix it again every few minutes as the medium and metal separate quickly. With most of the metallics from Vallejo, they suggest you use a black or dark primer to bring them out best. This is no exception and it works best on a dark primer. But, the difference between this and say the chrome is that you will probably need to paint several layers to get a good finish. You do not need to thin this paint, it is already very thin. Also, don't pour out of the bottle to use as it will separate in the container and become useless quite quickly. The lid has a small hollow which fits over the drip tip of the bottle. Upon shaking the paint this will have a small quantity of paint in it. Use this, then repeat once it starts to separate. This constant mixing need makes painting with this and the other paints from this family a bit of a chore. However, it is worth taking the time and making the effort. Because the end result really is extremely nice, and I have not yet found a paint that quite looks like this once it is finished. I would also recommend that you buy the metallic varnish Vallejo produce, it will help to protect your paint from being worn off and it adds a level of gloss to the colour that helps with the metallic effect. Lots of patience. Frequent mixing, dark primer, multiple coats (allow to dry before next coat) and then a touch of varnish. It sounds like a lot of fuss, but the end result is beautiful.

Bei diesem Gold merkt man schon beim auftragen wie gut die Qualität der Farbe ist. Nach der Trocknung ist auch eine gute Abriebfestigkeit festzustellen. Ich werde diesen Artikel wieder kaufen.
