NEED 6 QTS for after Feb 2019!!
Vehicles built before February 2019 are equipped with 5.5 quart engines. These motorcycles have shorter dipsticks. When installed, they show a silver ring on the crankcase. Vehicles built February 2019 or later are equipped with a 6.0 quart engine. They feature a longer dipstick, which does not show a silver ring on the crankcase when installed. Put the amount of oil and run it. It will not show on the dip stick like when changing oil in a car. Indian says to get to operating temp, that is not just running for a couple of minutes. Take it for a quick ride; go to gas station; something.. Then when you get back, stay on it, do not put on side stand. As soon as you shut it off, check your oil. This will get you an accurate reading. This is due to the "reservoir" that the dip stick sits in does not get oil pumped into it until its HOT.

Great for doing it yourself
this is my 2nd oil change kit for my 2016 Indian.....this kit has everything you need to change the oil & Filter yourself. This saves you a lot of money that the dealer charges you....plus, doing it yourself - cuts down on the wait for the engine to cool before the mechanics can touch your bike time.

Overpriced OEM product but can't beat the convienence
Like most OEM branded products it is more expensive than sourcing individual parts of the same or higher quality. However, I will continue to buy the kit as you know you are getting everything you need and the convenience and compatibility piece of mind is more than worth it to me. However, I did run into an issue when I was filling up without paying attention thinking they give you the exact amount of oil you need and it overflowed. No matter will buy again next time I need to change oil

Oil change kit makes it easy to do yourself.
This kit makes the oil change easy and convenient. It is a little overpriced.

OEM - what else can I say
This is the OEM Indian Motorcycle semi-synthetic motor oil for 111 or 116 engines. However for the 116 you will need an extra 1/2 quart which is not included, so I bought some single quarts separately. Don't remember if I bought those here on Amazon or on eBay. I have the newer 2020 Springfield Dark Horse with 116 engine so I needed the extra oil. Oil filter was a perfect fit and washers were fine. I bought from Amazon because with the price of oil and shipping from Indian website I would have paid more. Amazon is the best!

Great product but a bit expensive.
To be honest, I use this product to keep my warranty intact. It's nice to get the kit as it comes with exactly what is needed. I'm sure it's a great product or Indian Motorcycles wouldn't endorse it. However, it's expensive (more than twice what it costs for a car).
