Been using 5+ years, no problem
Bought this in 2018 and have had no problems. I had a keurig before and despite cleaning the coffee tasted weird. I recently decided to try a keurig because was looking to make bigger cups of coffee and to brew quicker. The keurig completely broke, would not turn on in maybe 6 months. So went back to the mixpresso which I luckily had saved. Keurig is sending me a new one but not even sure I want to try it again. The only disadvantages as I mentioned is how much coffee you can brew for a cup at once and how long it takes to brew a cup. The benefit is the simplicity and the reliability, it can’t be beat. Also I honestly never really cleaned it, maybe once or twice put water or maybe vinegar through it but I’m not even sure about that, that might have been the keurig.

Makes great coffee, so simple to use!
Been using it daily for 9 months and very happy with it. My guests can figure out how to use it. I prefer it to my large keurig machine because it is easier to use, takes up a fraction of the counter space, can be put away easily, easier to clean, yet makes great coffee. I can adjust the amount of water for the brew infinitely rather than a preset button for strength. I discovered how to make coffee as good as any coffee shop using generic reusable K-cups https://a.co/d/cIXucVP combined with paper filters https://a.co/d/8z0Gd8s along with my own fresh ground coffee. Reusable K-cups overcome the problem with all pre-loaded K-cups in that they inherently have partially stale coffee in them because they are not vacuum sealed, which is why they never taste as good as coffee shop coffee. These 3 items overcome this problem and make great coffee, cleanup easy by just dumping a tiny paper filter (no digging coffee out of the K-cup) and you are not adding plastic to the landfill. It also makes cost per cup about $0.15, or about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of pre-loaded K-cups. Win-win!

Small and convenient
I like the small size. Takes up less space in my small kitchen. A little care needs to be taken on how much water to use. It takes a max of 10 ounces of water but I've noticed that among my variety of coffee cups some are more full than others. Larger/taller cups don't easily fit without tilting. Still, it makes a good cup of coffee and does so quickly and relatively quietly. As for "programmable"? I don't know what they mean by that. Only time will tell how well it lasts. Last single cup maker (different brand) lasted only 7 months. I am happy so far.

Works great, takes up little counter space
This coffee maker is very easy to use and is amazingly small for a device that works so well. After removing from the box and placing it on my counter I ran four or five cycles of a vinegar/water mix through the unit to ensure it was cleaned of any manufacturing oils etc. After that I ran a few pure water cycles to remove any vinegar that might have remained and then inserted a coffee pod and made my first cup of coffee. It tasted wonderful and was everything I was hoping for. This coffee maker does not have a chamber for holding water so you must add water every time you use it to make a cup of coffee. This is quite easy to do as you simply lift the lid and pour the water in the top, place a cup or mug under the spout and press start. The instructions make it clear to only add 10 ounces of water but there is no need to measure as 10 ounces of water is all it will hold. So I simply fill the coffee maker to the top of the filter and its ready to go. Not having a tank to store water is a GOOD THING. I am ashamed to admit but recently when my K-Cup type of coffee maker stopped working and being a tinkerer I thought I'd open it up to see what ticks. To my surprise the water chamber was full of the most UNPLEASANT SLIME I have ever seen and I am amazed that it hadn't made me sick. From this experience I am sold on single use coffee makers such as this Mixpresso. In the past with all types of coffee makers I would run a couple of the vinegar/water cycles to ensure nothing bad is accumulating inside the coffee maker. But that hadn't worked with my K-Cup unit. With the Mixpresso not having a water chamber I have the assurance that the inside of the unit is staying clean and safe. The coffee will probably taste better as well. One last thing, as ten ounces of coffee does not seem like a lot, after making the first ten ounces of coffee I add about half that amount and run another cycle. This just about fills my coffee mug to the brim and I find the flavor excellent. I would definitely purchase this coffee maker again and most certainly would recommend it to a friend. And yes, I am loving my new-found counter space!

Nasty plastic, petro-chemical, laden smell can't be healthy; so far coffee tastes like shit..
I got this morning, a neighbor dropped it off to my front door. (It was misdelivered -- as typical, from Amazon's w/e delivery service here...poorly trained drivers, very unprofessional. I'm ready to quit Amazon Prime because it just ain't what it used to be.)Anyhow the reviews citing bad chemical-plastic smell are all *TRUE*. Usually plastic, especially when heated, need to "out gas" loose molecular chemical bonds -- it often takes a day or two or three. This thing was very bad, worst I ever smelled. After running eight water cycles through it -- including one with pure white vinegar -- it still smelled to high heaven, like cheap crappy, probably unhealthy, nasty garbage-source inferior plastic crap.I tried one cup of mild Ethiopian coffee in it -- undrinkable. Tossed it after two sips! Not only nasty plastic but the coffee itself was very flat and tasteless. In another similar but better coffee maker I ran the same exact coffee, same amount of pure filtered water, same sweetener, same creamer, etc. viola, perfection! Don't buy this item. It's not fit for dogs. The coffee maker is made with inferior cheap plastic components.I thought it would be easier to use with the levered locking lid. But I'm returning back to my trusted hand twist lid, lock and load, coffee maker -- because its coffee tastes FAR better! This cheap piece of Chinese made junk isn't even worth returning to Amazon. It's going back in its box, and I'm leaving it in the community room here for someone else who has no sense of smell whatsoever. Sucker!Amazon is really not worth the bother anymore. There are other delivery services that supply better made products, make better deliveries, and implement better customer service. I hate Amazon!

Greatest little automotive coffee maker on the market.
We do a lot of off road adventures and camping. This little coffee maker is always a hit. It take a bit to warm up but the coffee is always hot. Packs up small and easy to use.

Works well if you only need one cup at a time
I was tired of my Keurig Elite taking up huge swaths of counter space in the kitchen when it only got used two or three times a day. Enter a month-long search for a smaller model. This one was very small and came with decent reviews. After almost a month of using it, I'm pretty happy with it. I took it through the manual's recommended washing before first use and haven't gotten any kind of 'plastic' taste from it. It uses the reusable k-cup filters well, and is simple to use. The coffee or tea comes out hot enough for me and tastes as good as any other coffee machine. The downsides: you have to fill the resevoir every time you want a cup, and it uses all the water in it to make that cup. I keep a dedicated measuring cup next to it just for that purpose and it works well - coffee mugs aren't great at pouring neatly. It also takes around two minutes to heat up the water, so it's best to start it before you need the coffee. Other than that, I'm happy with it - it definitely takes up less counter space and I still get my coffee without much trouble.

Small Footprint
This is a great alternative to the main brand single cup coffee maker. It is sturdy, well designed and makes a great cup of coffee. It is more compact than most machines, therefore, takes up less room on your counter. Still does the job though. Actually, it's easier than my last machine. One less button to push. Just as fast to brew. The true test will be its longevity. My last main brand machine lasted 2 1/2 years of heavy use (4-5 cups a day). With proper cleaning, I have a feeling this one will equal if not surpass that mark. Oh, should mention too.....it costs half the price!!

Good machine, tasty coffee
I have been enjoying my mixpresso since purchasing it in middle of December. I was slightly nervous about the little amount of water required but it makes a good amount and the coffee is always nice and fresh. The design is not the sturdiest so I do hope it lasts. Time will tell but right now it’s doing it’s job, not taking up to much space; and making a tasty cup of coffee !
