The design fits for our country kitchen and I appreciate the high quality of these dishes.

Great & affordable way to get the grandson & new wife some dishes that all match! Keep in mind these are NOT THE MIKASA ITALIAN COUNTRYSIDE FINE CHINA FROM THE 80-90’s and it will not match that- It is a little more ‘cream’ in color and very pretty! The youngsters are THRILLED and I highly recommend this set of dishes! Thanks again Amazon!

I bought place settings for 8 of Mikasa "Italian Countryside" pattern #DD009 to match to the 8 settings of same I already had from several years ago. I LOVE this timeless pattern. The box arrived in pristine condition.Sadly, the new dishes are NOT the same product quality as priors. The size of the new dishes are mostly comparable, however, they are a much darker color. The embossed vine detail on the older dishes are crisp and neat, the embossing of new dishes is flat and the vine pattern is practically unrecognizable. To me, they look like a cheap imitation of the original, perhaps Seconds, lthough they were not advertised or marked as such. Not consistent with what I expected as a new Mikasa purchase thru Amazon.Three comparison Pictures attached -- my old dishes are on the left, the new dishes on the right. You can easily see the quality difference. A picture of the online advertising image is also attached, I was expecting the new dishes to match the advertised detail quality.I will be returning these, so very disappointed. Hesitant to return for replacements through Amazon as I may receive the same poor quality product.

If you have the old version of these dishes- these are awful by comparison. If you don’t, then these are perfectly acceptable every day dishes. Compared to the old version these are blurry, off color beige, heavy, & a little wavy. But if you are buying only this new set they are perfectly fine. If you are wanting/needing replacements or to expand your older Italian countryside dishes, go to eBay instead.

I am so glad I read a positive review for these gorgeous dishes! Don't let the naysayers discourage you.These dishes are gorgeous. The pattern displays the meal nicely, makes the portion look small, and they are just lovely.They were securely and safely packaged. Arrived in perfection condition. (The box is heavy!) We have another Mikasa set; these dishes are the same size but they are heavier. Love them.Very happy with my purchase. And, yes, I will add to it.
