Worked !!
I dyed my hair "pavement" with the danger jones semi permanent to give my hair the silver//ash look to it but it started fading to green/blue :( I tried everything to get rid of it until I saw a video recommending this product to cancel out the green/blue tones since red is opposite of the color wheel!Trust me I've tried everything, color remover, purple shampoo, redying my hair, using a silver color depositing shampoo and nothing. This color would not budge.First I did put this all over my hair and left it on for about 30 minutes and I saw a slight difference. So I started using it all week and left it on for 30+ min each day. IT WORKED !!! my hair is now a perfect silver / gray 🩶 I did have to work in the shampoo a little more in certain areas but it was worth it :)Always do a test strand first, going through so many methods made me learn my lesson. Also be patient with this product as everyone's hair is different and will react differently depending on the color, what dye you use, how light/bleached your hair is.Another thing is be warned, this product does seep Into natural hair, very faint (I have black hair) but a little noticable in certain lighting.Overall amazing product, love the smell, the color, and how it helped me with my hair issues :)

Helps keep the red tint
I dyed my hair with a cherry red tint and this shampoo helped keep the red and made it really pop in color, especially in the sun. Helped keep the color without damage and made my hair super soft and smelled nice. Great shampoo for the price and didn’t have any trouble with leaks when delivered.

Honest review
I bought this to neutralize the green out my brown dye hair. Obviously, I need to do a couple of washes to see results from what I understood. But as regards to viewers stating that the shampoo stained their hands and bathtub, I just don’t know how is it even possible. Never did it stained my hands or bathtub. Actually, is fades very quickly with running water. Now, I could see the tub staining because someone didn’t properly rise their tub after rising the red shampoo out or maybe they weren’t using the red shampoo but the red dye. But overall, it smells great and did not dry my hair(very curly, dyed 2x’s in 4 days) out.

Works great.
Each time I dye my hair red, I order this shampoo. It definitely makes my red last longer than regular shampoo. It does make your hands red, so be careful. It has stained my tub when drops went uncleaned but it comes out eventually. And it doesn't lather well at ALL. I feel like I end up using more product than I need to simply because it doesn't lather well. BUT, I love this product and will always use it when I go red. IT WORKS! GO GET IT!

stripped my color
Dyed my hair black recently and it was beginning to fade. Someone recommended a red shampoo to tone out the green undertones, and the very first time I used this shampoo, it fully stripped the black out of my hair and left it completely green.

Great supplement for violet-red henna treatments!
I use auburn with a wine-red kick from Henna Color Labs (great products!) and wash my hair daily. I use the Joico Red shampoo about three times a week starting at about week two post-color. DO let it soak in for a "country song". It helps keep a slight cherry tone to the auburn and keeps the brown tones from looking too flat. It will stain tile grout if you don't wash this off tile right away, however. Yes, it gets smudgy on towels and pillow cases, but red color (henna or dye) does that anyway. I follow the Red shampoo with Hask argon oil conditioner; this neutralizes any drying the Joico shampoo might do to my hair. The Joico Red conditioner does NOT work for me--too drying. (Don't be alarmed when you see the stuff in your hand the first time. As Shirley Maclain said in Steel Magnolias, "That looks like an autopsy.")

Auburn Hair: Adds warmth to brunettes with red/warm undertones.
For the brunettes with red/warm undertones: I bought this shampoo to bring out the natural warmth in my hair. It has been very effective. I have been using it for about 2 weeks, 3-4 times a week in order to add warmth to my medium brown hair. The difference is more obvious in direct or bright sunlight, where the red tones are very obvious. But overall my hair is darker/warmer, in a dark auburn range. I have been using it in combination with the John Freida Brilliant Brunette shampoo to dark my hair as well.I don’t find I have to follow up with conditioner, as the shampoo is very gentle on my hair. Hair is left soft and manageable even if I forgo conditioner. The smell is very pleasant, artificial but nice. Sort of a candy apple smell.

It beats ketchup
My hair turned sort of a green tone after an unfortunate bleaching attempt. No one around me knew what to do so I looked up videos on how to remove greenish looking hair and the number one answer was to use ketchup. The thought of smelling like ketchup wasn't too appealing. Fortunately, I came across a video that recommended Joico color infused red shampoo. It worked. Even better, I only needed to use it once to remove the green hue from my hair but I keep the red shampoo on hand just in case the green ever returns. It's been months since my hair incident and still no green. Yay!
