Great item. After getting out of a ‘21 f-150 King Ranch into an older ‘17 f-150 canadian tire, I found myself dropping the tailgate and forgetting it didn’t have a slow descent. I installed this in about 10 minutes. Once again I can pull the handle and just let go of it. A nice controlled release. The only thing I would have liked better was if had a bit of gas charge assist on the way back up, but perhaps I should have kept my King Ranch for that option. All in alll it’s a great product so far.

Should of bought sooner!
Solidly built product. Installed in minutes on my 2017 F150. Works great! Keeps tailgate from slamming down. I wish I had bought years earlier. It’s a great convenience to have at a great price.
