My old cap did not have the hose attachment. Not usually a problem but with this new cap, it's great to be able to hook up a long water hose and I can let my grey water go when needed. Allows you to hook up a long hose and let grey water drip into your septic, pasture, field, whatever regulations in your area permit and only have to worry about going to dump when the black tank is full. Highly recommend as it fits great and works great.
