Aquarium lighting
Absolutely stunning, easy to assemble, super bright and all around a 10 out of 10 I don’t think your description or the pictures does this item justice. So many different modes, colors, and a timer.

Excellent Aquarium Light – Highly Recommended!
This is a beautiful and well-designed aquarium light. It’s adjustable to fit different tank lengths and feels very stable once installed. The built-in programs are flexible and can be customized to suit different needs. Even when using the 6/10/12-hour modes, the light turns on gradually rather than all at once, which prevents sudden stress and doesn’t startle the fish. The ability to control the light intensity is extremely useful, especially for aquariums with live plants. I definitely recommend this light!

Set it and leave it
I just want to start off by saying, I've been very happy with all the products that I have purchased from Hygger. My previous purchase was an aquarium air pump. I have bought plenty of air pumps, and by far it has been the quietest air pump I've have ever purchased. Anyway, back to the lights. I have 2 26w and 1 14w. I use the 2 26w fixtures for my 100-gallon red eared sliders turtle tank and I use the 14w for the 20-gallon basking area for my sliders. I like that you can set it and forget it. I know some people have expressed that the controller is confusing. I would say if you read the directions a couple of times, it would probably make sense to you. Also, some have expressed if you have a power outage you have to reprogram the lights. I can see how that might be a pain. I have not tried yet myself, but maybe consider placing your light fixtures on a UPS. Especially if you have more than 1. If your power outage is shorter than the battery life, you shouldn't need to reset it. I have used more expensive led light fixtures that did not have any of these features. The light quality is beautiful. I really like the 24/7 feature. I like how it simulates the natural light cycle. I feel and hope that my turtles like it and benefit from them as much as I do. Update: WARNING! I have 3 of these lights which I purchased in November of 2021, so I have had them for almost 3 years with no problems. I absolutely love these lights. Please heed the manufacturers warning about not getting the controller wet. Today I was topping off my turtle tank with a couple of buckets of water, and accidentally spilled some water over the back of the tank. I did not realize I got the controller wet. About 15 minutes later my 1 unit was no longer working and I knew right away what I must have done. I can't be upset with the manufacturer, as they clearly have marked on the back of the controller not to get it wet. I love these lights so much that I immediately purchased a new one today. I must say that these lights are so reasonably priced that I would be willing to pay at least $10 more for these lights if it meant they could improve on the controller to make it waterproof. My plans going forward is to purchase a small tube of silicone to close up both side seams and where the wire enters and exits the controller. Very small investment to keep the controller water proof or resistant.

Good with a couple issues
Quality construction. Easy to set up (I have it on the auto 24-hour setting). The light is bright and I really like the dawn / day / night gradual light changes. No more startling the fish with the sudden on/off. I bought two smaller ones for 10 gallon tanks. The brackets on one aren't exactly square so it doesn't fit the tank quite as well as the other one. Not a big enough issue to return it. I've only had them a few weeks but so far so good. Time will tell. I ordered a third one for a larger tank. Update after owning them for a year. I still like them but have found some downsides. There are two light setting modes. One allows you to set the light color, intensity, and duration (6, 10, or 12 hours). In this mode, the light gradually turns on, stays on for a set period of time, and gradually turns off. The is the mode I'm using now. My only complaint here is there is no 8 hour duration option. The second mode is what I was originally looking for. The light gradually turns on with orange/red light to mimic sunrise, and gradually turns off with blue light to mimic sunset/night. The problem is the daylight stays on at full intensity for too long (something like 15-16 hours). You can't adjust anything in this second mode. It is what it is. It turned out to be way too much light and I constantly had algae problems. Gave up and switched to mode one. It would be great if they could combine the two modes and give the user a little more flexibility. Good luck.

Great light so far, lots of options, I would recommend
I like it, great value, shipped well, lots of lighting options, I’ve only been using for about 2 weeks so far, no issues yet. So much better than the generic light i previously had. I really like the sunrise/daylight/moonlight timer option but after trying it a few days I realized I’m going to have to wait till I have some surface plants like Amazon frog bit or some other floating plants that will provide some shade for my fish during the brightest a hours of the cycle, I think the sunlight timer option is too bright for him until I have more shaded areas. The brightness dimming options are great but didn’t show up well when I tried to video, I don’t really need any of the solid color options but they are fun to have. Overall I’m quite pleased with it and I think I’ll be able to grow more aquatic plants now. For reference, I ordered the 18W for 18”-24” tanks, I have a 20”, 10gallon tank.

Automated Perfectly, Bit of a Loose Fit.
It works really well. It has two adjustable height modes onto my 10 gallon tank which is ~20 inches long. 24/7 mode makes me not have to worry about the tank's lighting at all. To expand on the fit, you may be a little careful as the outer legs that extend don't really "lock" or have any friction when expanding or retracting them. Meaning if you move the light a little bit you risk off-centering it. The light stays a consistent brightness and seems to be designed very well with waterproofing in mind (of course) and the top of it is pretty sleek too. You can move it forward and back along your tank easily too. Fits nice. There are also timer modes and adjustable brightness. One other to mention is the RGB mode where it cycles through colors, but I wouldn't recommend using that mode for your fish or plants.

Best Light and Customer Service Ever!
December 2023: My Hygger Light failed, but Hygger jumped right in and made it right! My light failed a couple of months after putting it into service. I contacted Hygger through Amazon and I very quickly got a response directly from Hygger. Within about a 2 week period I have a new fixture in hand and without having to repack the bad fixture and send it back. Hygger’s only requested that I send a short video failed fixture. Seemed just a little strange when the fixture would not light, but I did as asked and with the light plugged in I went through the process of multiple presses on each button to show function failure. I sent this in and very quickly sent a new fixture. I had previously owned another brand that only made it through about a year, but never came close to the superior illumination from the Hygger fixture. I only used the 24/7 function will allowed me to schedule a Sunrise and Sunset process to create a more real life environment for my critters. For me, this Hygger light fixture is the best illumination and the best Customer Service. Previous Post: Yep, this has to be the best light I have ever owned for an aquarium. Pro: Illumination is outstanding and does a great job lighting the tank front to rear and sided to side on my 53 Gal. Corner Tank. Pro: Seems to be excellent for growing plants, but I do add a cap full of fertilizer every other month. Pro: Fish and plant colors are also great. Con: Working with the timer to set up light cycles as if it were a real solar day is a little challenging. Con: Once the solar cycle has been set to where I want it, there is no battery backup for power outages and I have to start over with getting up early in the morning to reset. Not Me: Having options of choosing different color spectrums like just red or blue or green is not a part of my world and has no value. If I had a restaurant or bar, then these might be decorative. Now I would still have to reset again to make sure the plants and fish have the proper lighting to stay healthy until the next night.

Worth the money
I love this light, we keep it on the 24/7 setting and I love that it has the sun rise and sunset effect for our fish. I also enjoy that I don’t have to touch it all it turns off and comes back on all on its own. Good purchase worth the money.
