I want a stop watch that does not alarm. is this what i am looking for?

This stopwatch makes no noise whatsoever - no beeps, no alarms, nothing; totally quiet. It's a stopwatch, not a watch/clock; it does not keep time in other words, just elapsed time.

Does this have a clock function?

no, is only a stopwatch does haver varios stopwatch functions, i mainly use it for the gym

Can this be used as a Timer, for example, to countdown 8 hours and beep an alarm at the end of that 8 hours?

Dont know if it beeps....was using it in a noisy helicopter for test flight work. It a good one and not expensive.

Does it come with the lanyard

Not to be difficult, but shouldn't the seller answer this?Anyway, mins had no lanyard.

Expensive for what it is

Casio is a great brand, but this item only has 2 basic functions. Lap time and split time. Not even the time of day. Overpriced for what it is!
