Yes. Handle seems pretty secure. However lock dials shift every time you close so you have to unlock every time you close.

Is this vegan? Any leather?

Vacquetta leather is made from Bogota, Colombian mountain. So yes it's leather ! milk cows.

I use this case for carrying my lap top . It has plenty of room for all my other stuff too . I need a sturdy case when I travel , my lap top isn't cheap and you can damage your lap top if you use one of those Bag / pack-pack types . The Alpine Swiss is real strong , locks , stable enough to put my computer on , and looks good too . I say , get one , it's worth every penny! Tim
