DaisoJapan Reusable Silicon Mask Cover for Sheet Prevent Evaporation, Colors May Vary

I've taken a fondness for skincare inspired by some books about Korean skincare, which has gotten me really into using sheet masks as a way to relax and make my skin feel nice.This item popped up in the feed one day for items people who buy this item often buy that item, too. I was curious, as I have been using sheet masks for about 6 months or so now, and wanted to see what a mask cover was all about.When I saw that it would help keep sheet masks in place by preventing slippage and evaporation I decided to give it a whirl. After using this with several sheet masks (and something else!), here are my thoughts on this mask cover:Pros:-With the shape of the mask, with its curved chin area and ear hooks, this item really stays on your face - thus keeping the sheet mask on your face.-The silicone truly does - as one would expect - retain the moisture and essence of your sheet mask, letting it do its magic on your skin for much longer.-I've used this on sheet masks and I've also used it on the remaining essence in the sheet mask bag. Basically I take the sheet mask and use it and smear the extra drippies onto my neck and chest. Put on this mask cover and relax as normal. But as an added bonus I also retain the packet - and all the essence in the bottom of it - within a Ziploc baggie. If there is a second sheet backing I retain that, too. On second use - if the sheet mask came with one - I will swipe the mask backing all over my skin and slap the silicone sheet mask cover on my face, and it holds that essence in. I do the same on third use (or if there is no sheet backing, this would be the second use), pouring the extra essence into my hand, tapping it across my skin and again donning the mask cover. Although the second/third uses aren't quite as luxurious as the first with the actual sheet mask, I've found them to still be quite effective given that the mask cover can hold the essence to the skin so well.-This is so affordable (Mine was about $5) and since it makes your masks work better - and in my case allows me to use my masks up to three times - this little guy pays for itself, and fast!-Makes you look like Silence of the Lambs. My boyfriend freaked out worse than when he first saw a sheet mask! LOL!! (SO Funny!)Cons:-Like sheet masks themselves, these things won't fit everyone. The shape, while it holds well to my face with the ear bands, still leaves something to be desired as the eye holes are tiny and narrow for my Caucasian face. Depending on the shape of the particular sheet mask I am using I may feel more comfortable just closing my eyes instead of feeling the sheet mask scratch at my blinking lids which are nearly covered by sheet mask + this small-eye-holed mask cover. Also, I consider my head average sized, as I fit in one size hats, or wear a medium generally, but if my head were any bigger, or my ears any further back from my face this mask would be too tight. As it stands this "fits" and works for me as I need it to, but I would love to see these (and maybe even sheet masks) come in more sizes, if not more shapes.-Makes you look like Silence of the Lambs. I mean oh well, they will get over it, but this is just a fact. It's not a good look! :P)Although the mask cover - just like the masks themselves - is hardly perfectly suited for my face shape, it works and does what I need it to do: Enhance my Sheet Mask Routine! It may not fit you, or it may fit you better than it does me, but if you are into sheet masks and wanna make them work better and potentially save money like I do by saving the extra essence and such, then you should give this a try. At worst case you are out $5.

I started "slugging" putting nutrients rich face cream or oil and covering it with patrolium jelly so all the moisture rich nutrients soak in my skin and not dry out or stain my pillow etc. I put this over my face. I couldn't use the earlobes because it was way too tight, but it stuck to my face and stayed on all night. Big difference in the morning. I peeled it off and washed off the petroleum. My face was so dewy and bright and no smudges on my hair or pillow

The mask is sturdy, but is really too small for an adult female. The ear straps really pull hard on the ears because the mask is too small. But, it is good to help moisturize the face. It doesn’t cover the area around the lips, so I had to buy lip silicone patches and use them under the face mask for those to stay on.

This is one of those skincare products that are just rather fun to use because it makes you look like Michael Meyers when you're wearing it, lol.I specifically bought this to help keep my enzyme & collagen gel masks from drying out, but I've found it works great with paper masks, too! It also helps keep them from drying out, but most importantly... it helps keep them stuck tight against your skin and allows you to still be able to talk without the paper breaking contact with your skin.I have a pretty large face, yet this still fits me well. It just doesn't cover up all of my cheek areas, and also doesn't touch my skin on either side of my nose. There's another design on Amazon that I want to try which looks like it might fit my face better. For now, though... this works just fine.Clean-up is as easy as just rinsing it under warm water until it stops feeling slippery from the product.

I got this to hold on my silicon wrinkled patches. It worked really well, unfortunately, even after cutting this down to size. It is extremely tight and cuts into your ears. So you can't keep it on for an hour maximum.

Item is made well. I use it for those self care days to let the moisture sink in more. It is very safe and easy to use.

I wouldn’t know how long because even if I wake up 3 to 4 hours later, the sheet mask is still damp.The other thing I love using it for is after I take a shower at night and put all my toners and lotions on, and it hasn’t sunk in yet. I can put this on and go straight to bed, and I don’t have to worry about it rubbing off on the pillow or getting any dog hair on my face.
