Amazing!!! Wish I knew years ago!!
If you stripping sticker or double side 3m tape. Don't waste your time and read review. Buy this 3m wheel now!!! OMG!! Wish I know bout this years ago. I been into import cars, trucks and Etc. I always debadge all my emblems from all my cars. I love the clean look from all my car. I own a 2014 Sierra Crew Cab 4x4. So at 1st I start out using fishing line to remove my emblems. If anyone want know how do that. Just check out YouTube. It like flossing ur teeth. Any emblems comes off with ease. I used this 3m wheel after that. All the 3m tape was gone and my paint was flawless. Not even one single scratch. Amazing!!! Only problem is after all emblems is take off. There the left over 3M tapes. Doesn't matter which car or truck maker. 3M tape is quality and tuff to remove. At 1st I used my old method. A little Goo Gone and microfiber cloth. Bad idea do to black paint!! Left a lot of micro scratches. All my pass cars was white, so this Never was a problem. After doing one fender where 4x4 emblem at. I called quits and call it a night. Went home and ordered this 3m wheel. 2 days and it came home. Took the wheel and went straight to work. I have a 1700rpm delwat drill. Worked great at max drill rpm. It was perfect and fast. What took me hours in pass, now done in 30 min. I recommend using rpm that recommend. Do not go over!! This wheel work great at low rpm. Once all the 3m tape was remove. The wheel didn't made a single scratch on my black paint. I can't say enough. This wheel is magic. Best bang for my buck!!!

Actually worth the money
I admit, I didnt like the $38 price tag. So I ordered some cheaper ones against my better judgment. Sure, they worked, but left alot of yellowing. This 3M wheel though is awesome! I used it to clean up the areas where decals were previously removed (looks like they let the kindergarten kids do it lol) Had alot of small spots. Worked great. Used it on two decals where the paint was starting to bubble beneath it. Took the decal off and left the paint! Its softer and doesn't leave any yellowing unless you get everything hot. If you keep moving, you'll have no issues. Yes these are over 3x the cost of cheaper ones, but its 10x better. Now those cheaper ones would make more sense for taking off the majority then using these 3M to do the final touches. I've used alot of wheels and this one has to be the best. No I'm not being paid by 3M or Amazon for this review either lol It really is a great product, its just not as aggressive as some that leave the yellowing.

Works great, would be nicer if mounting hole was centered
Bought a used RAM 1500, and the previous owner had installed some tacky looking vent visors. I removed the visors fairly easy, but they left behind some horrid adhesive mounting tape that was REALLY stuck on, solvents were useless. So I bought this 3M eraser wheel and just used it to remove all that sticky, gooey tape residue. The 3M wheel worked great. I got everything off pretty quickly, then used some solvent to clean, and then went to local car wash because my truck was covered in bits of debris. The 3M wheel worked as advertised, it strips that residue off with no problem and did not do any damage to any surfaces. MY ONLY gripe is that the drive-mounting hole was not centered perfectly in the wheel. The instructions say to use a rasp file and spin the wheel against a file to true it up, but honestly, the wheel is rather expensive and I would have thought they'd have a manufacturing method to get that hole centered perfectly in the first place. I never was able to get the wheel perfectly trued, but it still did the job.

Perfect for removing old boat decals
Bought this to help remove decals on a 20 year old sea Ray bow rider. Some of the sturdier decals we were able to take off with the heat gun and they peeled off pretty well but bigger decals were too old and brittle. This product worked amazingly well in removing the decals and I was using a battery operated Sears drill that only went to 1500 RPMs but it worked fine. The battery lasted less than 15 minutes so I had to make sure I had several batteries. Very pleased but the outcome. Had a lot of success moving the drill in an up-and-down motion going from right to left

It works - IF - you follow directions & tips.
I used this to take a decal of the front fiberglass cap of my class C RV. It works, but YOU MUST BE PATIENT, it takes time but it does work. 1. Do not buy the wheel & mandrel combination (item 07498). The wheel is great, the mandrel is USLESS. The wheel threads on to the mandrel but when you use it, as soon as you stop, the momentum un-threads the wheel and sends it rolling across the floor. Just get the wheel only (item 07499) and make your own mandrel from a 3/8-16 hex head bolt, 2 1/2” long. Buy the bolt, 2 flat washers, 2 lock washers, a 3/8-16 hex nut and put it together as shown in the picture. Take some good advice and do this inexpensive step, otherwise you’re in for a world of frustration and cursing, and you’re gonna wind up doing it anyway so do yourself a favor and pay attention to what I’m telling you here. 2. Read the directions - round over the edges of the wheel first. 3. Read the directions - advance the wheel into the decal AGAINST the rotation of the wheel. Don’t let the wheel put itself across the decal, that will make a mess that’s much harder to clean up. 4. RUN YOUR DRILL ON SLOW SPEED. YOU BETTER PAY ATTENTION TO THIS ADVICE OR YOU WILL MAKE A BURN MARK ON THE FIBERGLASS! 5. Be patient. Take your time. It progresses slowly, and your forearms will be burning from the strain of trying to hold the drill in the right position. Take a rest, then continue. It does the job but it’s not easy like erasing chalk off a blackboard. It’s a workout, but the decal comes off - slowly. 6. Some glue residue remains. Try cleaning with Goof Off, or WD-40, or rubbing alcohol. Then wash & rinse well. Wax & buff. I like this product, I recommend it, and I’d buy another one.

Great useful tool.
Best Buy I’ve made in a long time. Worked like a charm in getting two sides tape off my truck. No paint damage at all. Not sure I could have hurt the paint if I had tried. Keep in mind, it will wear down. Buy an extra one if you can.

Da bomb for removing bicycle decals without damaging the paint
Da bomb. Just what I needed. I used it to remove bicycle decals. I wish I would have known about this 3M Eraser Wheel before I tried other decal removal methods that worked for others; but didn't work so well for me. The edge of the 3M Eraser Wheel wasn't smooth downed when it arrived; but still worked. Once it smoothed down from use, it worked even better. I used a multi-purpose lubricant (what I usually use for rusty and stuck parts) to wipe off the glue from the decal and dust left after using the 3M Eraser Wheel. Paint job underneath looks like new. I am happily shocked it didn't damage the paint.

Great product that's worth every penny if you don't want to harm your car's paint.
So I was very concerned about exactly how I was going to remove the vinyl pinstrips from a vehicle I recently purchased because the paint job on it is absolutely pristine with a finish like a mirror. I researched a ton of different methods and chose to use a heat gun and a plastic credit card like piece of smooth plastic to delicately try and remove the pin-striping. Doing 3 inches took a very long time, so I finally resorted to purchasing this 3M eraser wheel, and good thing I did. It took off the pinstripes very quickly and I was finished in 20 minutes, and there's not a mark on the paint, you can't even tell there ever were pinstripes there to begin with. As many have stated here already, the wheel gets hot even at very low rpm's, so do not hold it on one spot for long, keep it moving, then take a break after a couple of minutes and wipe down the area you just did with a paint friendly cleaning product to remove any little bit of residue, and before you know you'll have completed the whole vehicle. Also make sure to remove all dust & dirt from the area you're about to remove the pinstripes from so as not to grind it into the paint. You also only use very light pressure on this wheel to, it hardly needs any pressure whatsoever, and very low rpms. Highly recommend and worth every penny.
