NEXPOW OBD2 Scanner Bluetooth 5.0, Car Diagnostic Scan Tool Check Engine Code Reader for Android & iPhone- Compatible with Torque and Car Scanner

I found that this was extremely easy to install and set up. And it gives so much more information than a cheap OBII meter. I am using it on my wife's Subaru Forester. The old OBII meter I had would only read a few of the codes and they were wrong. The problem was that all the warning lights would come on at once and disable the cruise control, ABS, antiskid, and eyesight. The cheap-o meter said that the timing chain on bank 1 was out of calibration. It didn't say what caused the other faults to come up.After I installed this bluetooth OBII and got the readings, nothing about timing or ABS or antiskid. I finally figured out it was an intermittent short in the brake light switch that was causing the computer to go wack-o and replaced it. All okay now. I have left it on the car and now can read it while my wife drives down the road. Before I would have to try to read the short corded wired OBII meter under my wife's legs as she drove.

The guys at NEXPOW sent me a new product, which I am testing right now.I am impressed! This inexpensive adapter can do the same things that the very expensive adapters do. I can access the sensors that my 2004 Camry has in it's ECU without problems. I was interested in my car's fuel trims and I can see them. LTFT and STFT are giving me the data that I am looking for.Thank you, NEXPOW!The only week part is lack of a good app. I hope that the developers of the NEXPOW will create one of their own.

My last OBD2 scanner was almost $200 and I needed to pay for a database update. This unit was less than the price of my update so I thought I would give it a try. At under $30 I couldn’t go too wrong. So far it works perfectly. Great value for a very nice unit.Once you download the app, vehicle profile and connection set up are fairly straightforward. I have vehicle profiles set up for three automobiles with one of them being a Tesla. You can use this scanner with multiple different apps. I have an iPhone so I downloaded both recommended iOS apps. They function slightly differently but both do a great job.It’s just amazing with the apps how much this little scanner will do. Completely replaces my old Acton scanner which cost multiples more.

I love that I can "self-diagnose" my car troubles. I have one car and a work schedule that doesn't allow for me to just stop in at the shop when a light comes on. This has allowed me to diagnose and fix with the help of my almost-ex husband somewhat simple issues like replacing spark plugs. The format is simple and the read-outs are fairly specific. It will tell you what cylinder is misfiring, for example. This is a huge timesaver!

I own several OBD2 code scanners and this one seems higher quality than many I have seen. Even the packaging is high quality. I love the chrome handle that makes it easy to insert and remove. I've posted a picture showing some of the data pids I was able to display with this code reader. I really like the fact that I can use the Torque software with this scanner. I have several products from Nexpow and they have never disappointed me.

I used the "Car Scanner" app on my iPhone, quickly connected, was able to immediately find the error code (EVAP Leak) that was causing my check engine light to come on. I clicked through from the app to find out that it was often a false alarm due to the gas cap not being sufficiently tightened, and then was able to reset it. This was without paying for the app, though I eventually decided it was worth the small cost.I was warned to avoid knockoff ODB scanners, but I'm glad I took a chance with this one. One hint: you have to connect to it via bluetooth from within the app, not from iOS settings.

This OBD2 Scanner with Bluetooth 4.0 is a high quality sturdy device with a metal handle and built in LED light to assist with connecting to car's DLC. The instructions were a little confusing and the included pictures are based a different version of the apps, but once the device is paired with your Smartphone and connected to your car's ecu, I was able to connect and use both the incardoc and Torque apps. The limitation for this device is whether you purchase the Upgrade/Pro version. Your abilities to access the car's ECU and use the full potential of device is limited by the app and version of the app. I highly recommend the NEXPOW OBD2 Scanner Bluetooth and purchasing the upgraded version of the app.

This Bluetooth OBD2 scanner came in very nice and safe packaging.Its size so compact and convenient to store in glove board .You need to install Torque app for android to use this product.Just plug in obd 2 port of vehicle and it pair with your phone without any issues with pass code 1234Once you paired with phone, open the Torque app and add scanner from setting and its ready to use.It shows all data so neatly just like pro car mechanic machine.Was very pleased with product quality and size and ease of use.Would definitely recommend even for people new with car.
