Beatnik Rhythmic Analyzer with Accessory Pack

I've been drumming for a little over two years now. I very much wish I had this pad when I started- my timing would be immaculate right now. As it is, in the little over two months that I've owned this, I've seen tiny little stutters in my timing cleaned up.I've used the Phrase timer for practicing defined phrases. While it can only take 8 quarter notes, the vast number of different counts that can be assigned to each quarter- 4th, 4th triplet, 8th, 8th triplet, 5-over-1, etc- all the way to 10-over-1- allows for a great variety of phrase. And the different levels of skill- from the very forgiving "Low" to the tough "Pro"- allows you to define the challenge.The Groove timer is probably the mode I use most. You set the tempo and then just play what you want. It reads what you're playing, makes sure it's some sort of defined measure- you can't just randomly bang away- and makes sure you're in time. Very useful for doing various rudiments with different timings.I can see getting years of use from this device.The only shortcoming of this pad is that it can't handle flams.
