what is the firing temperature range?

In the Customer Reviews for this, several users mention best results using 05 or 06 but note that the result/color is different with each. I have not used the glaze yet myself.

Can this glaze be layered over other Cone 06 glaze?

Absolutely. If you visit Mayco's website, they have combo charts. Blue Grotto over Sea Green is my favorite.
