Amazon Basics Self-Adjusting Wire Stripper, Black/red

I love this tool,it saves so much time, no more paring down cable with my knife or trying to strip off an outer sheathing without damaging the cable inside it, this tool does it all, and does it perfectly it is accurate when it cuts and does it in one action brilliant. If your doing electrical work like wiring a loft or garage you need this tool I recommend it to all DIY people.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT.

Met a need but frankly will pay more for a decent set of strippers in future. I have always been a knife and pliers type of guy when doing electrical work. However on a recent project I didn't have a lot of spare cable to play with and needed to get in tight to a ceiling to strip cable and wire.The tool tends to get the first cut good but then sticks or jams on subsequent strips and I seems to need to exercise the tool closed/open listening for a click before it will work again. However in most cases the actual cuts both to outer insulation on twin and earth cable, and stripping individual conductors were fine. But the time wasted resetting it each time reduced its value to me. I suspect it will lose it's effectiveness over time as it's fairly cheaply made and will probably get a decent set at that time.

This thing is great !!! I broke a plug and had to replace it, was worried about stripping the wires with scissors so ordered this and without any prior knowledge worked it straight away first time and it just works in an instance, very happy.

I've used these many times. Work really well.

I've had to return these. Don't strip even the thinnest of coated copper wire. Jaws don't grip and the blade is blunt.Return process was easy though. Back to pliers!
