EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY - PERFECT FOR 7.1 DIGITAL SURROUND SYSTEM INSTALL
Quality: So I updgraded my whole video system to 4K, and then asked myself the question, "why am I still using sucky thin speaker wire when I have 4K digital?" The first thing you'll notice is how heavy the box is when it arrives. This is great quality, ridiculously thick, 35-strand, ALL copper wire! Repaced my old (probably 18 gauge "copper clad") wires throughout my 7.1 surround sound system and can definitely tell the difference, especially with the new 4K av receivers (I like Yamaha) with Dolby Atmos/THX/etc. digital sound.Installation: The insulation is very thick, so in a couple spots had to cut off the insulation to fit the (also thick) wire through my rubber runners on the floor (my problem, not Mediabridges). Noting I can't complain about the exceptional quality/thickness of the wire or insulation, and this wire would be perfect for running through walls (I didn't have to). Used this wire with the Mediabridge gold-plated banana plugs, so much easier plugging into the back of the amp now! Glad I got the 200 ft spindle as 100 would not be nearly enough for 7 speaker surround system (had to use 25-30 ft ea for the 4 surround (side/rear) speakers, 10-12 ft for each front speaker, 5-6 ft for the center speaker, so I still have a good 60 ft leftover for any future projects. Noting my living room is not too big, so in a larger home could see using up the entire spindle.Does size matter? The 16 gauge wire probably would have been fine, but for a few bucks more for 14 gauge why not get the real deal... and glad I did! Took about 3 hours to run the wires for all 7 speakers, but I have lots of runners on the walls and floors for a clean look. .All the speakers are now actually louder, and clearer, which tells me these wires have signficantly less resistance and better conductivity than my previous wires.

Quality wire for a low price.
Honestly, for the price, you can not beat this wire. Quality outer wall coating is "in wall safe" even though I only bought it to be less obtrusive along white moulding in the house. Wire thickness is spot on, with a triple spun wire inside each sleeve, which is great at this price point. Worked very well for speaker hook up with no noticible difference in sound or power vs the 'triple the price' wire I had used before.

It is wire after all
It certainly does the job of wire but beyond that I will have to say it is very pliable and easy to work with. Even with the markings being faint on the cover it is there and an inspector would have no trouble finding the CL2 designation on it. I even got an extra foot as long as it is not cut short on the other end. Will not find that out until I get there.

Great wire
I’ve used two 200’ spools of this to wire speakers through my house. No problems. Definitely worth the money!

Seems solid
Wire seems durable but stripping the red and black wires seems a little more difficult than other wires I've stripped in the past. All in all a good value.

Excellent speaker cable
I searched Amazon for a good speaker cable choice for my home theatre install. This wire is perfect. It was easy to run through the walls and attach to the wall elements. The sound from my system is amazing. I will buy this product again if I ever need to do another install.

Good wire, good price point
Jacketed, proper color coded, fine stranded wire that can be installed in wall. What more could you ask for at this price point. I've never been one that could hear the differences in wire (but you're out there I am sure) but for a medium cost home theater system that required two spools of wire, this wire will do the job and not disappoint.

Save you money on divorce proceedings!
My wife is ambivalent about my home theater setup and stereo equipment in general. But what really grinds her gears is speaker wires. So when I wired up a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround setup in my new living room, I really needed a way to minimize the form factor of my wiring system. Enter MediaBridge's 14 gauge speaker cable, shrouded in matte white. I was able to wire two bookshelf speakers for stands behind the couch (with cables pinned to the white baseboard molding), a center speaker (on a white TV console) and two floor standing speakers, and she didn't bat an eye. Everything was white and blended in with it's surroundings, she didn't notice—or care—about all the cabling. So if you abide by the notion of "happy wife, happy life", go with this product for your home theatre wiring needs.
