Innovativ, leicht, robust und angenehm in der Handhabung. Habe bisher beim Wandern immer eine herkömmliche French-Press-Kanne gleichen Fassungsvermögens benutzt, die zwar hervorragenden Kaffe ermöglichte, aber auch mit deutlich mehr Gewicht zu Buche schlug. Nachdem ich etliches an Gewicht bei meiner Wanderausrüstung abgespeckt hatte, kam nun auch meine alte French-Press ins visier. Ich habe den Tausch in diese ESPRO in keiner Weise bereut. Durch die absolut hochpräzise Verarbeitung, sollte man dieser French-Press mit größten Respekt begegnen. Die Dichtungen schließen perfekt. Ein Blick in die Gebrauchsanweisung ist daher nicht verkehrt. Wenn man den Stempel zu schnell nach unten drückt bleibt dem Kaffee nur der Exit als Fontäne durch die Trinköffnung, da ihm alle anderen Fluchtwege durch die hochwertigen Dichtungen verwehrt bleiben. Daher kann das befolgen der etwas langsameren Stempel-Handhabung aus der Gebrauchsanleitung kein Fehler sein. :-)

It is very light and well-designed. It makes the perfect amount of coffee for me and also can double as a water bottle. I am very glad I added this device to my coffee-making collection. The only thing I wish was better explained was the contact between water and coffee. The description implies that the finished coffee and the grounds are completely separated, however the coffee is still in contact with the grounds via holes in the plunger mechanism. These hole are necessary of course, so the finished coffee is not “completely” separate from the grounds,, so you would not want to leave it for too long after plunging.

Worth the value.

This is actually the second time I’ve purchased this item, and I like it so much that I’m writing a review this time, (unfortunately I accidentally left my last Espro on an airplane). As a flight attendant I spent 15 years of my career drinking awful freebee coffee in hotel rooms and on the plane, so discovering this gadget was a game changer! I carry fresh ground beans in a little Tupperware container, use the in room coffee machine sans their cheap coffee to make hot water, and 5 minutes later I have two cups of delicious high quality coffee to start my day. If you’re not flight crew and would like to use this while on an airplane, just ask your flight attendant for two cups of hot water.This thing is sleek and slender which makes it quite travel friendly, it makes two cups of coffee each press, is easy to clean, and is user friendly. On that user friendly comment I do have one pro tip…I find that it can overflow if you fill it all the way to the top before putting the plunger in, so just fill it about 2 inches from the top, put the plunger in, and then add more water to top it off. Easy peasy!
