I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAITED SO LONG TO GET THESE! Story: Little norty girl kitty scratches the carpet to get attention (she has 5 other scratching posts/mats around, she's just a stinker). After spending $90 on a brand new, big, modern, nice scratching rectangle bed... she doesn't care about it and still scratches the floor. Nail Caps: It was time for a pretty kitty PETicure with the nail caps! Man, I have used the old name brand ones that were pretty expensive and they were fine, but never came with enough glue. And for almost 3x the price of this kind?! These are GREAT. Lots of color options, including glitter, and lots of glue. They're soft and flexible and easy to put on (<< cat not included in description) *****I highly recommend watching "how to apply" videos BEFORE slightly traumatizing your cat.***** Application: My girl is a little fussy but I can clip her nails okay and touch her paws fine. Still, to get her to sit still for "the procedure" I had my friend feed her a Churu while I applied the caps. Application was easy with the Churu to distract her! And she was fine sitting on my lap letting the glue dry. But... as soon as I let her off my lap she started biting them to try to get them off. Throwing temptation treats across the room distracted her well, brushing her distracted her, but she still kept trying to bite them off. You guys. They didn't come off. They are ON there. Cat Reaction: The (pretty much) whole first day she was chewing on her nails. She couldn't get comfortable, had to chew. However, she did still make biscuts at night so that let me know it wasn't absolute TRAUMA. Second day she was confused and kind of sad. She tried scratching her posts but it looked like it felt weird so she just, kind of stopped :( Barely any chewing though. Third day: She's fine! No chewing. Still a little confused, but accepting these caps are there to stay. Last notes: Even with the claw caps, she can still make marks in the carpet. However, she can't pull up the fibers which was the biggest problem. Same thing with the furniture; there are marks, but it's just like rubbing the fabric in the opposite direction. And, when she makes biscuts on my arm it doesn't hurt at all :D

I’m very happy with this purchase! The nail caps stay in place well and are easy to apply thanks to the included applicators. The different sizes and colors are very convenient. My cat got used to them quickly, and they really help protect my furniture. Excellent value for the price!

Package arrived with the claw covers but missing the glue and applicators. Very disappointed as I cannot use these without the glue and applicators.

There is a little bit of a trick getting these on you cat, but when you figure it out they are fantastic. I started by sedating the cat (gabapentin - ask your vet - mix it with a small amount of water and squirt it right in their mouth). 2 hours later the cat was quite ready for his manicure. Clip the nails (get the 2 mm hole style clippers, they were great), then put one or two small drops of the glue right into the nail cover and shove it onto the nail and I’ll try to hold it there for five or 10 seconds of the cat tolerates it. Since then, I found that they come off, typically one by one but only after a week or two, and since they come off only one or two at a time, I’m able to replace them without stating the cat. I usually just find him napping in the sun and he’s usually pretty chilled out and I can at least get one cover on him before he knows what’s happening. One little trick I would use with colored covers that stand out so you can tell when they’re gone. Otherwise if they’re the same color as their fur it can be difficult to see if they’re missing. This pack came with two different kinds of covers, one is kind of a hard plastic, a little bit larger and the other one was a softer plastic. I felt the softer plastic ones went on easier and seem to last longer. I chose the medium size covers since I didn’t have any idea which size to start with. I would say I have an average size cat and they were just the right size. As far as the cat tolerating them, clearly at first, he was not psyched, and he would chew with them but after about a week, he seems to ignore them and doesn’t seem to know that they’re there.

These work very well. Our cat was a little nervous during the process of 'fitting' them but after a few minutes of playtime only occasionally tried to bite at them... a couple of days later, she's almost completely used to them. They are colourful, quite stylish (especially the glittery colours!) and definitely save furniture and assorted limbs from scratches. The fitting process was relatively straightforward but for us was definitely a 2-person job. We ordered 'Small' but even these were too large so we cut them to size, as per the instructions. The glue can get everywhere so be careful, especially upon first opening the little bottles (keep them upright as the glue is quite runny). All in all, very satisfied...
