Excellent product I use this to enchase or shift chroma or shade existing Acrylic colors, I have also made my own acrylic paste for this, will buy again, though it is expensive but the right shade of Gold 24kt

Nice gold mica powder
Comes out as a bright gold; I mixed it with some epoxy and the result was pretty bright; I didn’t really have to boost the colour anymore. Found it really easy to mix and think the size of the pot is pretty good.

Disappointed with the colour.
Disappointed with the colour. I was looking for a 'bright' gold but this was more 'rose' gold than anything.

This is easily the best gold mica I've tried, and I've tried a lot of them. Blends in perfectly. Yes, it's expensive but the tub is huge.

I am in the process of buying old copper-plated light fixtures... largely for the quality, but also for the Craftsman look. The problem with this is that the fixtures I buy are ALWAYS a tad oxidized and/or spotted with paint. When reconditioning, I find I need to touch up the surface to restore it to it's former look. The products available for this miss the mark... metallic wax "crayons" or anything acrylic just won't last or look right. SO I decided I had to make my own finish using an oil-based polyurethane product. My favorite is MinWax Antique Oil Finish for its long drying time and easy, forgiving application – you can use cotton swabs, cotton cloths, or brushes, and can wipe off to get just the right amount applied These Mica powders are simply perfect for this, and Meyspring seems to have the best color range for matching metal finishes. Having received some, they are truly nice looking even in the jars (I've bought other brands as well). I bought a couple of jars that seemed close to my goal, but then bought their "two tone collection" to adjust the colors even more. If you've got similar refinishing or touch-up needs, making your own finish with these powders seems like a perfect solution.
