Perfect
Exactly what was described. Works as it should. Love it.

Works great, but the mounting holes don't fit a standard electrical box
Would have been 5 stars if I didn't have to use a Dremel tool to enlarge the holes from 3.0 inches to 3.25 inches to fit a standard box. I built a system, first with SMS, later with RFID to control access at church. Read the RFID reader with an Arduino Uno, send the data to a Raspberry Pi which queries a remote database for access.

They work really well - but are not compatible with commercial technology
I used these at a local church. Working in the Electronic Security industry I found these to be a little "Weird" from what I am used to but the cost was more beneficial for this small job. They are definitely not compatible with commercial brands of readers so only their tags, or cards, will work.Overall, for the cost, I found them to be adequate and would certainly recommend them for small systems that are not getting high traffic.

Works as expected. Seal and quality of the reader is high. Fobs could be a little better.
Works as expected. Seal and quality of the reader is high. I have used a lot of these types readers in the past and this one is more or less the same. The read distance is average about 2 inches. I am not sure I would want it to be more. It outputs the codes as one would expect. In testing, I hooked it up to my bench test door system based on an ESP8266 custom relay board built for this exact purpose. It passed all my standard use case tests. Speed of read and accuracy / failed reads being as expected. The buzzer is clear and as loud as expected. The led is highly visible(Red) even in the sun. In the images, I did shield it for one shot to ensure you could see the color. But looking at it with my eyeball, it was easy to see even in bright light. Just the camera could not pick it up as well as I liked. It is a bit brighter at the bottom compared to the top but not too much.It is physically a little larger than other readers I have used in the past, in this price range. Mot of the extra size is in the face where there is a bit of an edge(see photo). At first I did not care for the lip but have given it more though and since it is molded into the housing, it really has no bearing other than maybe it could help if you wanted to flush mount it in a well of some type.Wiring wise, its the standard config and colors, I have included a couple of pics that show the label and the connection card that comes with the reader. So I was able to just connect it up and use it wire for wire to replace the existing(other brand) I had on the bench door system.Mount wise it is the standard 2 screw mount with the back plate. Nothing special here. Although it is a well made back plate. Noticeably thicker that others I have used. This is good for durability and likely will allow for easy mainteance if ever needed. The fobs that is came with were not quite as expected. The good news is that there were 10 which is what was expected. The bad, 1 (the separated green one) did not work. The count of each of the colors was not as advertised (see image) The listing shows a pretty specific mix in the image but the text does not get into details so that might be on me for expecting it to include the exact color and count shown in the image of the listing. All in all a solid reader. 9 of the fobs can be used and they are special colors which are not what you get all the time. So that is a bit of a plus in the sea of blue fobs I have.It is a direct connection replacement for the readers sold with these systems:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074C79BCLThe mounting and foot print is a little larger but outside that... Exactly the same use case.It is also very easy to use for a DIY set up that you build using an Arduino or other MCU.

Functional, okay
I tested this device using diagnostic equipment on my desk. Despite the product listing claiming "USB Type A" connectivity, this is inaccurate, it does not include USB functionality. Based on my assessment, it appears to use Wiegand 26 or 34-bit output. While it’s not plug-and-play, hobbyists with experience using Arduino or similar platforms should be able to integrate it with some light hacking.

Good for diy projects
This reader and fobs work fairly well. The reason I say they are for diy'ers is because you cannot program additional fobs to work with it. I am sure there is a way to make it happen, but not through standard methods. In any case, I got this to use as a switch for opening a "secret" door. It was easy to install inline with the linear actuators I was using. And it worked with a thin layer covering it for hiding purposes. So, I am using it for fun. I am sure there are more professional uses for it.

It really worked!
I had so many doubts about this product when I bought it! My boyfriend and I live in a secured apt building and we only had one key fob. It was so annoying having him drop the fob off while I was at work so I could get in the house after work. Finally after months of trading fobs we finally solved our answers and this little device worked!!! We both were shocked but so happy to have solved this issue! Thank you GOD for helping me stumble across this little device! It also worked on our garage pass too!
