Fun to use, yet reliable for daily carry
Bought this with mostly the intention of having it as a thing to mess around with when I’m bored, because the mechanism looks cool and satisfying to actuate, but I didn’t have high expectations as far as fuel retention goes. I mean, my zippo would be out of fuel by the next day when kept in a pocket, so I don’t really rely on it for starting campfires after learning this (I live sorta by the beach, and bonfires are a very common thing for my friends and I during summer nights). But THIS lighter....oh man, it’s a different story. This thing sparks up as soon as you put a couple squirts of fuel in, and when I did this for the first time I noticed an O-ring on the bottom. That dang thing makes all the difference. I’ve lit this thing maybe 150 times in the passed two days of having it, and one time lit it and set it on my desk as a candle for probably a minute just for fun. I haven’t refueled it since when I did, when it first arrived. It’s FAR more reliable than a zippo, and although it doesn’t have that signature “chlingk” whenever you open it, it easily trades that off for the one-motion lever-action lighting system. It honestly blows any zippo out of the water when you compare it in any aspect. The only thing I’d say a zippo really can be compared to it is weather resistance when it’s lit. I haven’t thoroughly tested it, as far as wind proofing goes, but it has one of those grated sleeves that slide up to where the flame is to keep the wind from putting it out. I actually prefer this 100%, because like I mentioned before, when you slide it down it gives off more light than when up, which gives you the option to do either.Who is recommended this to:This lighter is extremely affective for someone who’s backpacking, hiking, or just needs a lighter they can rely on when the time comes, and on top of that, looks sick. I guess if you’re a smoker it would be affective as well, but I’m not sure using a lighter that burns gas is the best. I mean, you’re raping your lungs either way so I mean frick it, why not. I’d also recommend this to someone who’s like me, in the sense that I like cool things to mess around with, because man this thing is fun. Conclusion:I’ll be carrying this thing around probably just as much as my knife, because of its practical uses and reliability comparable to one of those unkillable Tacomas or 4runners, and maybe more than my knife because it’s slightly more legal for a minor like me to have one of these in public than even a little knife. It’ll easily replace my zippo as a semi-dangerous fidget toy that I know many men love, and has made its way into my daily carrying backpack and often, my pocket or hand.Original post: July 2019Update: November 2020Been messing around with this thing for a year now, and it's been as reliable as a hammer. You can light it and chuck it in the air without the flame going out. Wind ain't got a thing on it, and fuel lasts a good month when topped off.

Look old and it holds a lot of fuel and it's heavy makes it fell old
It look's like one my grandfather had when i was young. Easy to refill and doesn't leak fuel out in your pocket. Really like the wind guard slides up and down.

Better than a zippo
I cant speak to how long it'll hold up as if only had it a few days but this is already the coolest lighter I own, feels like its built rock solid and is the coolest looking lighter I have ever had. With my Zippos I always have issues with fuel leakage and evaporation and this doesn't have that problem since the fuel reservoir seals. I was afraid it would be flimsy with springs and moving parts but like I said it feels rock solid, I certainly can't imagine it breaking anytime soon. Anyway the bottom line is, well worth the money and far better than anything else out there

Fuel evaporates
I like this lighter for it's cool antique look and functionality (I don't smoke cigarettes, but I've always carried a lighter). I give it three stars because the lighter fluid evaporates so quickly. My go-to everyday lighter is a Zippo that I only refill about once a week. This lighter is lucky to make it two days if I don't use it much.

Ok, but you deserve better.
It works, and looks nice. But the fuel evaporates like mad, meaning a fill in the morning is gone before 5pm. Save for a better model, these are so-so

One Year Review Update....read!
I bought 2 of these lighter...they ARE very cool....and I like them, BUT: THEY HAVE A FLAW! Striker spring broke on both after 8 or 9 months. Contacted the seller and ask for replacement springs so I could repair....took almost a month...but received new springs and repaired. Both work perfectly again. Hats off too the seller for ordering and shipping springs from China, and at no cost to me. Be aware springs are VERY DIFFICULT TO REPLACE.This item is incorrectly listed as being "Solid Copper"...it is not copper, it is actually "Solid Brass"...see photo. High quality product. Very well built and solid lighter. Filled it with regular Zippo lighter fluid. Lights first time and every time!

Simple, sturdy, makes fire.
Not great for lighting candles (I don't smoke) but I should have thought about the logistics before I ordered. Simple, sturdy, fun to mess with.
