A Perfect Match for My 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera
Reasonably priced. Promptly shipped. Carefully packaged. Easy to install for a non-mechanic in less than 10 minutes. The new struts work beautifully. A perfect match for my 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera. I cannot imagine what my Porsche dealer would have charged me to order and install these parts.

Perfect fit, easy to install
Took less than 3 minutes to install. Fit my 996 perfectly. Now my frunk lid pops open and stays up instead of whacking me on the head.

Much cheaper that OEM Porsche & just as good!
I needed hood struts for my Porsche 911/996 and didn't want to pay ridiculous prices for OEM. So i bought these and so far they do the job right with no issues. Easy to install but remember the gas shock side is always on top and the shaft on the bottom. Time will tell how long they last.

Fits my GT3 great, unfortunately now the car is worth $0 because it doesn't have all OEM parts on it anymore.

Doesn't open as high as original hood struts
Hood lift supports work and were easy to install, but doesn't open as wide as the original hood struts. These have too much resistance and won't even let me manually lift the hood higher. Purchased these to make working on the front of the car with the hood up without having to worry about the hood falling on my head occasionally, but ended up returning because of the reduced access to the front of the car. Definitely not ideal for taller people who risk hitting their head on the hood when accessing the front trunk.

Absolutely terrible on Porsche 996
These struts could not hold the front bonnet/hood up on a factory 996 Carrera. There was also resistance opening the hood with these in place. Purchased Stabilus units and the car is back to normal. Buyer beware. Glad I bought on Amazon as the return process is easy.

Hood struts pre greased in the upper and lower ball mount areas. Make sure to wipe down old ball mounts on the vehicle before installing new struts. Installation was very quick and easy. Great price very pleased all around
