Storelli Sports simply offers the best goalkeeper protection available. These knee guards are no exception. I only wish they were a little smaller but they are doing the job they were made to do.Before purchasing these knee guards, I read the words contributed by critics who had a lot to say about knee guards either 1) encouraging the player to develop bad habits of going down on the knees or 2) just not being tough enough for the sport. Let me be the first to reassure you that if you are looking into purchasing a pair of these knee guards for yourself, that does not make you less of a player! My daughter is one of the fiercest goalkeepers in her age group and one of the toughest on the field. She has taped her broken fingers and continued to play through the pain because she needed to make it through the game. She was kicked in the knee by an overly aggressive player who was taking a dirty shot trying to cause her to go down and release the ball. She didn't release the ball and she did finish the game. But she also walked away from that game with a severe bone bruise to her left knee that took her out of practice and games for a month. And after speaking to her orthopedist, THAT is the reason we decided to give these knee guards a try. So far they have been a blessing. She has been kicked directly in the knee twice since wearing them and no damage has been done. This past weekend she forgot to bring them to a state cup tournament. She went in for a sliding breakaway save and took a kick to the inside of her knee. Her knee is a nice shade of purple and is swollen again.Baseball catchers wear masks, chest protectors and and shin guards because they are smart and know when they need protection. Hockey goalies wear protection. Most other types of guards/goalies were some sort of protection but a soccer goalie wears a pair of gloves. So I say there is nothing at all wrong with wearing a pair of knee guards if you want to protect your knees when playing the game. It would be foolish to expose your weak spot to your opponent and provide them a way to take you out of the game, not weak to put on a set of safety equipment to make sure you stay in play!

At this price point, I expect exceptional quality. But this product isn't of exceptional quality. It is of average quality. For this reason, the next pair of knee guard I buy will be from some other less expensive brands, perhaps Reusch.As for the fit, they run a little small. If you are an athlete with reasonably muscular/toned legs, you will find that they fit a little too snugly.All in all, I think Storelli has done a great job in marketing and positioning themselves as a premium brand, but not so much on product quality. Their products just aren't there yet.

I bought these for extra protection for the Tough Mudder since I tend to get pretty beat up doing obstacle races. These worked great! They completely protected my knees and shins. This was the first time that I came out of a mudder without looking like someone beat me. The fit was pretty tight at first. I wore them over long running tights and they loosened up over the duration of the race. They were very comfortable and remained tight enough to keep out all of the mud that I spent hours crawling through. I highly recommend these!

Love these things, but the right knee ripped after about 12 games. I dive a lot, but these definitely run small (don't make XL?), still disappointed they ripped. Absolutely love them for indoor or out. I've tried many pads and these are the best for keepers, especially if you don't care about price tags. Still, would've liked to see them last longer for the price.

My 13 year old daughter approves of them. She plays goalkeeper for her soccer teams both indoor on turf and outdoor and these knee guards have worked very well so far.

Plenty of foam in the middle section, but very thin just above and below. Should have used XRD foam (like in other guards); otherwise, just a knee strap combined with compression sleeve...

I bought a size Medium for my daughter 5'5' 135 lbs since the small was too tight. They are well padded and stay on OK once you've go tthem on, but they tore where the padding meets the fabric on top of the knee after her second game. Returned it. We very much like products made by this brand but these just don't hold up.

Good quality.Smaller than I expect.

Good protection, but I think these are made more for men, not women who often have a slightly different leg shape. I went one size up and still the top is so tight! Rather uncomfortable.

I can’t comment on the actual product yet as I haven’t been able to use it. As a goalkeeper who plays on astroturf, it feels like it should do a decent job though and I have a Storelli padded baselayer which gives good protection.Based on the sizing shown in the images though I went for a medium, on arrival I was unable to get the pads on. Looking on the back of the packaging I noticed sizing details there which are different from the ones shown above (see image for correct details). I’ve returned the product in exchange for a large which will hopefully fit

Il marchio Storelli, per un portiere, rappresenta la massima qualità in ambito di protezioni per l'estremo difensore. Il marchio è ben costoso, ma ne vale la pena. Appena ho trovato l'offerta su Amazon (ben 10 € in meno rispetto al prezzo originale) e complice anche una contusione ricevuta sul ginocchio nell'ultimo match, ho preso subito queste ginocchiere.Anti-Abrasione e Anti-Contusione sono le caratteristiche più importanti. Il prodotto sembra di pregevole fattura e non vedo l'ora di provarle sul campo. Vestono ben comode e ora addio a contusioni e a sbucciature sulle ginocchia. Non ho alcun dubbio sul marchio Storelli, mi troverò benissimo sul campo.

Much slimmer/less bulky than the rollerblade style design of some pads but sadly simply not strong enough to protect properly. Good for artificial turf burn protection but no help to goalkeepers for collisions in the box.

The best I've ever bought. Proper protection that stays in place and protect the sides too.
