Baby loves this book! Started reading it to him at about 5 months old, and he is 7 months old and still loves it. For now, he is engaged by the bright colors and crinkly "peek-a-boo" flaps within the book. I love that it is a soft, cloth fabric that he can chew on as he gets distracted with my reading, which often happens within about 30 seconds. The book seems to be made with good quality, and the drawings are very cute. It seems very durable with baby pulling and yanking on the pages, and it's nice that the "spine" of the book also has a handle that he can use to grab it with. The 3D plush owl on the front is very nice, and baby really enjoyed sucking on that part of the book at first too.

My little one was 5 months old when she got this soft book and she still plays with it at 14 months old! She absolutely loves the different textures this book has. It has a crunchy texture, soft texture, and the leaves on the pages can be opened to show different forest animals. The quality of material is amazing and it handles biting, scratching, pulling on very well. My baby has thrown this thing around and pulled it all over and it's still as great as it was the first day she got it. It's so bright and colorful, she loves looking at all the pages and different animals. I highly recommend this book for all babies. They will love it just like my little one does!

Babe loves this book for lots of reasons. He enjoys the colors, the different flaps, and the fun crinkle sound. He's rolling all of the place now, and the book is light enough to take with him. He also loves to fling toys, and he never hurts himself when he flings this toy into his head. :) As another positive side note, our dog is never confused by this toy; some of Babe's other toys squeak like our dog's toys, and that's hard for dog. But dog never tries to take this toy. A positive all around.

This is my first review for Amazon, but this product so exceeded my expectations that I simply had to write! I ordered this book for our first born grandson. At age 5 WEEKS, my daughter-in-law set our grandson down on a blanket on his back. I set the Peek-A-Boo Forest book beside him open on the floor. I had read the book to him the day before and noticed that he seemed captivated with the page with the big-eyed moose, so I propped the book open to that page. Hudson entertained himself, kicking his legs and "talking" to the moose for over a half hour. He eventually fell asleep looking very connected and content. None of us could believe how engaged he seemed with this book. We were all snapping photos and my husband (his grandpa) took a video. As a retired librarian I highly recommend this book to libraries, parents and grandparents. Libraries should keep in mind that this is a cloth book so your policies may not allow purchase for the general collection. I would love to know the research that went into this product since it was so absorbing to such a young baby.

I bought this for my infant granddaughter and she really likes it. It has a clip ring so you can attach it to strollers and carseats. Every page has a crinkly fold down flap that my granddaughter likes to play with. It's a fun book but the colors are a little too dark and there is not enough contrast in the colors to attract babies attention. You can throw it in the washing machine to wash off all the baby drool it's going to get. It's not my favorite baby book because of the lack of color contrast but it's worth buying.

This first book is awesome! It is really soft, easy to clean and durable! The story is cute and rhymes nicely. It does grow nicely into toddlerhood with lots of colors and textures. The pictures are cure and colorful and you can use the book as a tool to help with soft play and teaching. A really versatile toy!

I have purchased several of these for gifts. It is the cutest book, with simple 'sounds' (i.e. crinkly), and fun for baby. The flaps are easy to lift & reveal the hidden animal. The bright colors are so eye catching and the animals have large eyes which catches the child's attention. It has a clip with it so it can be attached to strollers and car seats. Probably the best book I've purchased for baby showers; I get many comments on how much both parents & children enjoy it.

6 month old loves this book. We've made it part of our night-time routine. He pretty quickly figured out how to grab the pieces that fold down to reveal the different animals. The flap pieces crinkle so attract attention and are fun for baby to chew on. Not that he knows or cares at the moment, but the words/story is simple but fun. Other similar style cloth books seem to mostly just list single words on the pages of what they're depecting but this one has cute rhyming questions about whose hiding behind the flap piece.

Je trouvais cher les 6 pages... Mais finalement il y a plein de choses à voir et à toucher dans ce petit livre. Facile à prendre en main, toutes les pages font un bruit de "papier froissé". La fleur de couverture fait "pouet" (ok, faut appuyer super fort), il y a un grelot dans la grenouille, différents tissus sur les animaux, et un rabat à la page du bleu. La couverture comporte aussi un coin "à mâcher", bien pensé. Un point plutôt négatif : lavage à la main seulement. Globalement je recommande même pour les tout-petits (dès 2 mois)
