at first i was apprensive about paying this much for a card reader. now i got it.... i cant live without it. its a solid brick. the magnetic back is handy too. easy to use, comes with a usbC and usbA cable too. goes upto speed on a m2 mac. functions well as a card reader. and now i got it, i would say its value for money. its just sooo FAST!!

Works very quickly, transfers files instantly. How durable it is, I can't say.But to expensive.

Great transfer rate and works first time, everytime.

Gets hot if used for long time but I guess this is normal

Perfect for the job, fast, good quality and comparable to the Sony CFa reader.

I rarely review things but the second time I used this it damaged one of the plastic table on a £250 SD card, which was Pro-Grade branded. The slot is too sharp and I think too small for SD cards. So I'm returning it, and I'm down a perfectly working £250 SD card. Pretty mad at Pro-grade and won't be buying them again for any products.

Solidly built, comes with USBc and USB3 cables. Data transfer is very fast.

It is fast and well made but that is not why I bought this one, I bought it for its magnet, you don't know how useful that based magnet is untill you start using it!

I’ve been using the ProGrade Digital PG09 card reader for my content workflow, and honestly, this is one of those tools that doesn’t look exciting at first—but makes a huge difference once you start using it. This reader features USB 3.2 Gen 2, which means it can handle speeds up to 10 Gbps. In real-world use, paired with CFexpress Type A cards, I’m consistently getting around 700–850 MB/s transfer speeds. With SD UHS-II cards, speeds are closer to 250–300 MB/s, which is expected. Where this really stands out is in actual workflow performance. Transferring a 100 GB project takes about 2 minutes using CFexpress, while the same transfer on an SD card can take up to 6 minutes. That’s a big difference, especially if you’re moving multiple files per day. Over time, this saves a lot of time and keeps your workflow efficient. The build quality is solid. It has a durable aluminum construction that helps with heat dissipation, and the dual-slot design (CFexpress Type A + SD UHS-II) is very convenient. You can use both slots at the same time, although bandwidth is shared. One important thing to keep in mind is that the reader itself is not the bottleneck—the card you use will determine your speeds. If you’re only using SD cards, you won’t fully benefit from what this reader can offer. Overall, this is a great investment if you work with high-resolution video, large photo files, or professional cameras like Sony systems that use CFexpress Type A. It’s reliable, fast, and built for serious content creators. Highly recommended if speed and efficiency matter in your workflow.
