Recently my 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat stop shifting gear from neutral to reverse. I had to shift it to park all the way up then go back down to reverse or neutral. Dealer said bushing was gone underneath where transmission shifter cable/link connects. They don't fix bushings or carry only bushings so they said whole link needs to be replaced. $295 total including labor, tax and the new transmission shifter link (which costs $50). I started my research, if nothing, I was gonna do it myself or do some hillbilly engineering to get it back where it should be connected. Then I found this fix kit. Man it saved me literally $300. I'm glad I found this and did DIY myself. It fit and works fantastic on my 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat. Everything works perfectly and gears shifting as they should. I bought this when the automatic gear-shift lever on my Astra H decided to no longer change the gear positions regardless of where the lever was placed. The cause was a disintigrated bushing and detached arm on the gear selector lever located under the battery tray. Amazon is one of the few places in the UK where you can purchase these kits and without these it would mean a whole new selector cable assembly. The fitting itself is relatively simple (once you get to the selector arm location!) and is shown on a video on the manufacturer's website. £24 (at time of review) is ridiculously expensive for a few pieces of plastic but I suppose cheap in comparison to the alternatives. Either way it got my car back up-and-running so I'm thankful.

What a great product. Installed and worked great on a 2008 pontiac montana. Entire job took me about 20 minutes to install. Way easier than changing out the entire shifter cable. Would highly recommend. They do have different ones for different vehicles and applications so make sure you order the right one for your vehicle. Very impressed.

A $ and time saver... happened to stumble across this kit researching how to repair the shifter cable for my son's 2007 Buick Rendezvous... at first thought not way this will work. But, $20 later and about an hour's time it is fixed and working as is should. Simple yet very effective solution to what is somewhat of a common issue. I would have paid much more for this! But happy it was only $20!
