Asus ThunderboltEX II/DUAL Adapter (THUNDERBOLTEX II/DUAL)

I had a windows desktop PC - that I wanted to connect to my Apple Thunderbolt monitor. Luckily I had an ASUS mother board on my PC which I had recently assembled myself. Connecting this card into my PC and hooking up the Thunderbolt monitor worked amazingly well. Both picture and sound on the Thunderbolt worked as expected. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommend.

This card doesn't work in any Asus X99 mother boards. You can see board in the system Bios but doesn't show up in device manager in both Win 7 64 bit or Win 8.1 pro 64 bit. Called Asus tech support and talked to them for over a hour to find out that the only board that works is the ThunderboltEX II not the dual. Asus tech support is pretty bad I knew more then the so called Agent. I loaded all the latest drivers and bios didn't help at all. Asus needs to update their Tech support to state they don't work in X99 mother boards. Too bad this board doesn't work would have been nice to have thunderbolt in my X99-E WS system. I guess I will wait until they have a board that will work.

Works well to add Thunderbolt capabilities to PC. Wish I didn't have to fiddle in the bios and with the driver so much, though

After a horrible experience with a supposedly Thunderbolt compatible Gigabyte Motherboard, I purchased an ASUS Z170-A motherboard and this card. Within an hour (and after flashing the BIOS on the MB to the latest version), I had my Focusrite Clarette 8pre audio interface running under Windows 10! Couldn't be happier with the results...

I have two of these, each with a Z170-A motherboard, Corning Optical Thunderbolt cables and an Elgato Thunderbolt 2 dock. Very reliable and pushes 1080p 144 Hz no problem in Windows and Linux.

What very few places tell you is there are very few drivers for Windows thunderbolt anything. So this card is essentially useless. If MOTU would make a Windows thunderbolt driver o would be very excited and able to use this card.

I use it for thunderbolt display works with clnectkf from vga to card.

Prima di acquistare questa scheda addon ne avevo lette di tutti i colori, gente che per ore / giorni ha tentato invano di farla funzionare, si diceva che non esiste letteratura in merito, drivers, In particolare un utente aveva scritto una guida in cui diceva di inserirla in un certo slot PCIe altrimenti non funzionava, poi aggiornare il bios, etc... A me non solo ha funzionato al primo colpo out of the box, ma anche scambiando di slot scheda video e scheda thunderbolt il monitor apple 27 viene sempre rilevato al boot senza problemi. Ovviamente parlando di monitor Apple Thunderbolt 27 oltre ad essere riconosciuto come monitor, il sistema rileva i device correlati, Audio incorporato USB, Webcam FaceTime HD (il driver bisogna recuperarlo da bootcamp, scheda di rete Gigabit e HUB USB. Che dire, sicuramente non economica, ma essenziale per utilizzare lo splendido monitor Apple. Configurazione ASUS X99 Deluxe/3.1 e windows 8.1 (da verificare se funziona con windows 10)

Installed on an ASUS Z170-E motherboard. Connected the Display port cable to one of the display ports on my Nvida 1080 graphics card. No instructions for this board about bios settings but the bios options to turn it on are obvious and can be found under advanced settings Thunderbolt. Installed the included driver software on Win 10 the disk states 8.1 but it still works. Thunderbolt screen came to life and looks as good as ever.

Compré este adaptador para instalarlo en la placa base ASUS Z97-AR - y poder utilizar una interfaz de audio thunderbolt (Clarett 8preX) en una PC. Funciona perfectamente y sin complicaciones, nunca me ha dado problemas. Muy buena construcción.

Great idea but poor compatibility listing. Opened all up began to install to realise my motherboard was one letter wrong. Just missing an A

La scheda è arrivata con un giorno di anticipo funzionando al primo colpo e per di più funzionando con una scheda madre che dalle indicazioni della Asus risulta non essere compatibile per la precisione la Z87 PRO V-Edition. Funziona perfettamente anche con sistema Hackintosh Il dispositivo collegato sia sotto Windows 7 che sotto Mac OS X El Capitan è un RAID Promise Pegasus R6 il quale viene visto (dopo aver istallato il suo software) immediatamente da entrambi i sistemi. Soddisfa le aspettative in pieno, la consiglio.
